Jonathan Wright has to be better than Kelly

I have said all along Kelly in the NRL is out of his depth and he is not the only one . We need an injection of quality backs and quality forwards to become a quality side that will seriously compete in the finals
We have all seen what all our players are capable of and their impact in the team and the results speak for them selves.

I have said all along Kelly in the NRL is out of his depth and he is not the only one . We need an injection of quality backs and quality forwards to become a quality side that will seriously compete in the finals

I agree. Would of loved daine gagai. Souths will be good next year.

Looking at our roster, its pretty crap still. Some brilliant players but a whole host of very very avg playes in key positions. We desperately need a quality prop, back rower and center to be genuine top 4 next year.

Was hoping that try today would give him the shot in the arm he desperately needs, I am starting to worry that he might just not have it. That been said the defensive issues are not completely on him and Blake green who we bought for his "experience" and "smarts" could certainly be helping him out. That whole left side was standing back in their heels all day. Green should know that's not how you defend and be setting the example for the young kid outside him.

Our defence does not slide. They stand flat footed waiting. Its not Greens fault

Green is a terrible defender so not sure he would be a good tutor

This is what I have noted about Kelly this year.

The pre-season stories about Kelly being quick were proven to be a complete myth because he's arguably one of the slowest centres in the NRL. Even Killer last year with his dodgy calves and groins would have been faster than Kelly.

His defence is typical of the outside backs who come through the U/20's. Basically its crap. He's "ok" in attack (at best), but he is all at sea in defence. We saw it today, we have seen it for the past 3 months. You know its bad when even Brenko Lee can look good against him.

I'm sorry but the simple fact is that he should not be in first grade. Right now in his development he should be one of those who should only see first grade when there is an injury epidemic.

Hastings at centre or fb with tom at centre would be unpopular but better

Anyone would be better than what we are seeing from Brian kelly at the moment.

Kelly was made to look worse by Green's poor decisions in a couple of those tries.

You cant have Green, Kelly and Wright defending together it's a disaster.

Wrights not great and he's slow but he can tackle, the other two are turnstiles that cant exist defending togther.

Tom would at least fix up some of that sides defense if switched to center and I thing at this point given our limited attack Hastings needs to be in the side probably at fullback given the lack of quality options we have.

All of that said even one of my world famous miracles couldn't turn this lots form around.
