Quite a few Italian families living in Brookvale. In those days you had to watch the Catholics...they were the Muslims of their day. Had sports carnivals on Brookvale Oval and always looked forward to the old Brookvale Show, a major event of the year. The other big event was Cracker Night initially on Empire Day 24 May, then on Commonwealth Day June 16 which is now Queens birthday. I was most disappointed when Cracker Night was given the boot. Remember going to some huge community bonfires in the district around Narraweena. It was a great time to be young in the 50s and 60s. Not much money around but everyone got on well and no fear going with your mates to the beach when aged only about 9 or 10. And then of course sitting on the Hill, sun, rain, sleet at Brookie Oval. Top times
don't forget the 70's (i think) I was there and too young... so could only be sober... to witness us beat panthers 70-7....should of changed their name to the "jets":rofl:

So if he does come back does this thread go full circle? At least until he is next off contract I guess

dont know how true, heard from an insider, that the Foran injury is a just a front for;
1. making room for Hayne
2. avoid any further publicity to the squeels for whats coming in the match fixing scandal investigation.
His shoulder injury looked pretty bad at the time, plus he has had surgery.

I still can't believe they played him with a seriously injured shoulder. Of course he would be targeted and reinjured it.

Fiz' shoulder injury is the same as Slater's

Fiz' problems are allegedly much more serious than an alleged fixed match of an already wasted 2015 season

Hayne's dream of Olympic glory wasn't known for 3 weeks after Fiz was issued with a breach notice for not turning up for Parra

Hayne's return to Parra is their ultimate punishment as his attention span is miniscule 😀

Corey Norman has taken over from Fiz in keeping Parra on the front page :rofl:

KIERAN Foran is seeking a payout of up to $200,000 from the Parramatta Eels as the club looks to finalise his departure to allow it to start planning for 2017.

Foran spectacularly decided to walk away from the NRL and his $5 million deal with the Eels earlier this month, as he looked to a complete break from the game to sort out a number of personal issues.
