Seriously people just watching the Raiders game and I just don't get the over emphasis on the lack of energy and effort in Forans game when basically the whole team played in the same manner.

DCE did less in the whole game----even in the first half yet due to not seeing the "Old" Foran putting on big hits and playing with uptempo inspirational energy (which he has been easing off on since 2012/2013 to prolong his career and play smarter) fans are overly getting on Forans back.

Forans NZ performances playing behind a better pack are being a little over exaggerated to be honest---it is easier to perform better or the perception of playing a hell of a lot better in a winning side.

The drain on our backline this past 2-3yrs to keep Manly in games doing more forward like hit ups and hitting in defence like forwards on top of trying to retain some attacking potency under a poor go forward environment is bound to drain the enthusiasm and energy levels especially as this senior group ages and the hunger for success is reduced.

Now I am not saying for one bit that what people are observing does not exist "to a degree" but in many instances the whole teams efforts and "style" of performance combined with a lack of aggression and punch is contributing to a lack of enthusiasm in the halves to get dirty and offering less attacking opportunities with time and space.

Yes we need the old Foran back to inspire our weaker younger less experienced forward pack but to single his efforts out and not call out others with the same online negative intensity shows a lack of balance based off his pay packet and not signing with Manly.

So should people expect the same out of Thurston, than they do say Littlejohn, and just forget about their respective paypackets?

As maybe the two most expensive halves next season, im sorry losing 14 from 17 doesnt cut the mustard for mine.

They demand the dollars, they bag the fans, they lie to the club and fans, then underperform.

Injuries as an excuse is crap. Penrith showed what a club that rips in for each other did last season. They were much worse off than we are now.

I say our forwards aren't ripping in BECAUSE these two grubs are cancerous. Look at that filths DCE comments about being loyal no matter.

What a goose.

You know what? Klemmer and others may have lost it for The Dogs, but at least they have passion. Our blokes would just shrug, and continue to play in 2nd gear.

These blokes deserve all the negativity coming their way. Their actions called for it.

Halves are paid primarily for their attacking abilities be it in a structured way or off the cuff way.

Over the last 3-4yrs our backline players have performed tasks above and beyond what is normally expected from each position in a real sense "giving more value for money by doing some of the forwards work"

You can (I always have argued) that JT does not give value for money and in many respects over-rated and over valued---I will say JT has improved greatly the last 2-3yrs but I would never purchase him expecting to win a GF that is for sure.(I stated it years ago and I don't ever expect him to win a GF)

To me Foran is not the Cancer but a product of the environment some players have fostered over the years who should know better.

Whether Foran is the problem or just a result of the problem is debatable, but anyone can see that he is completely detached from the rest of the playing group, and it is bleeding obvious that he doesn't want to be playing footy for MWSE.
This is why he is copping negative feed back on here.

If there was a transfer system available and clubs were renumerated for developing a player who is later seduced by coin from a rival and all clubs do that. A system like that would ensure that not only would Parra have to compensate us for Foran but it would allow a move to be done faster, we now have 2 big milstones around our necks and we are sinking so fast because its so distracted these 2 players that they are playing to the minimum only. The NRL has to look at doing something about this whole saga over player transfers as it is toxic to see this going on which just alienates members and fans from all clubs.

He is getting "criticised based on his paypacket and his decision to leave". You are kidding.I started criticiszing this guy in August last year and you and many others leapt to his defence with this same stuff. We have won 3 games since his hissy fit last year just after we were leading the comp!

1. I don't know who you have been employed by but In every organisation I have ever worked people are judged on expectations of performance and the measurement of those expectations is their salary.Pay peanuts, get monkeys. To suggest blame should be spread equally given his salary and the importance of his position on the field is ludicrous, especially given his role as a supposed leader and his blatant lack of involvement.

2. He is being criticised for the WAY HE LEFT MANLY, and his total disrespect to the jersey since leaving, not the act of leaving itself. If he conducted himself properly and was upfront and honest in his negotiations and then continued to perform at his best for the people who are paying him a paltry 650k NOW then he would not be receiving this criticism.

3. You bagged the hell out of JT for the last 2 years on here and now he has "improved the last 2 o 3 years."Anyway let's agree to disagree on that one but there is one thing I can tell you about JT.Even in the dark days at the Cowboys he NEVER ever stopped trying 100 per cent like Foran has and that is a huge part of why he is such a highly regarded player in the game.

JT won a GF at the Dogs.

Foran has essentially had a sabbatical from football since August last year.

By the time he plays for the eels it will be two years since he pout any effort into a game of football.

He now risks turning out like Hopoate after his sabbatical and not be able to play to the same level as previous.

I possibly haven't followed all this as closely as some, but I find it very disturbing that Foran is openly being called a liar on this forum.

Can you tell me precisely what he did that you say was not upfront and honest?

He said he would be putting in 110% effort for the rest of the year. That's BS.

Nah ....... don't ask for evidence. Takes away all the fun of hating on him. We have to blame someone for something.... and he is the best we have at the moment.

And then there was this...
"Once I throw the boots on and get back to training next year I'll be able to assess my options," Foran said on Wednesday.

"I'll make a decision then."

In big demand from other clubs - including the Auckland-based Warriors who want to team him with brilliant Test partner Shaun Johnson, Foran said he wants his contract resolved by the start of the next campaign.

"I don't want it dragging on through the season, you saw what that did to us this season gone," he said.

I'm sure there won't be any of that.

"But as long as I get it wrapped up before the season starts I'll be pretty happy."

Foran was the Sea Eagles poster boy for the launch of their new Auckland Nine jersey on Wednesday, and the five-eighths spoke about his love of the club and Sydney's northern beaches.

"It would be (hard to leave Manly).

"I've been in Manly since I was a 16-year-old so I've grown to love the place and I love the area"

"Certainly, it's very close to home for me."

Foran told Kelly who told everyone at the Season Launch - Not signed with Parra or talked with any other Club. It was in the smh that day.

3 weeks later he said he woke up on a Monday, and fronted his team mates.
His word were 'on Sunday it was still undecided..'

Implausible that Parra had his contract drawn up and financed in an hour 😎

Almost as laughable as Manly efforts to get this man of honour to reneg

First of all I have been stating I think JT is over-rated since the start of his NRL career.(and longer on this site and previous sites) Me saying he has improved this last 2-3yrs is me saying the previous 7 or so years were nothing special other than his will to win and effort plays.
I've even stated there are elements in a half that make a player worth purchasing for NRL squad purposes and other qualities for Origin reasons. JT is more heart than skill and has been found wanting and very limited in the NRL big games that have better defensive structures than Origin due a more planned for and trained for squad.

Point 2, "criticised for the way he left" he was "over-heard" saying last year that he felt he might be at the Eels in the future so what---do you really honestly believe Foran signed all that time ago leaving him no bargaining power to up his price. To me his preference was to sign before the season started and maybe had doubts of leaving even though I feel and stated at the time if you have those same doubts like his previous negotiations it was time to leave anyway. Foran did not want it dragging on way into the season--- yeah it was a few weeks off what he wanted to do so f*&)ing what.

The paypacket comment was in relation to the raised intensity of criticism after not resigning not a reference to a starting point. The only area I stood up for Foran is when many fans were saying his efforts dropped for the entire 2nd half of the season when this was not the case----if this was the case do you really think we would of received players player of the year for the second time running.

Personally I can't wait for the real Cancer in the squad to leave so we can start afresh in 1-2yrs.

The parra forum said that he had formally agreed to terms in January. And there was also his famous cafe meeting last August which he indicated he was going to Parra with Watmouth

He has lied to the club and the fans and his team mates for months about going to Parra. His form since last August has been abysmal and shows clearly that he doesn't want to be here. And for which we are paying him $12.5k a week for the pleasure of watching him disgrace the manly jersey

It is well known that he doesn't get on with toovey yet he states that his leaving has nothing to do with the coaching staff who he speaks highly of. Another lie

So he states a preference or wish to not have it "dragging on through the season"----he announced his decision early in the season dragging on through the year would mean still not announced by now and even longer. He could of not signed or announced anything until the end of the season and Manly would have no time to prepare for 2016 but yeah it does ruin 2015----either way you can't win.

Maybe he delayed his decision because yes it "was hard to leave Manly" even if there is some conflict with the Coach.

As you like to analyze everything, riddle me this Batman:
The night before he announced his decision to the Team he said he still hadn't decided. That same night news reports said he would be announcing his move to Parra at 10am next morning. He does this. In interviews later that day he said he made up his mind at 9am that morning. How does that work?
Additionally, you claim he is still putting in for Manly and you can see no difference to past years. Next few games, have a look at the look on his face as he runs out onto the field and see if his performance matches that. I see seething resentment or complete emotional mess. And I see performances that match.

Absolutely, to see it any other way is plain delusional.
