The Daly Cherrygraph

Transparency is a critical leadership attribute.
The players know he is leaving, when he tells them who he will be going to, I don't think that changes whether they are cool or pissed with it. It's not about naming the new club, its about how he went about it.

He should have just kept quiet, or said he was still deciding his future and then announced it all when his decision was made, which it probably was at the time, but he got sucked in by Danny Weidler for an exclusive at his own expense cause he's a dumb can't

You hit the nail on the head with him being sucked in by being a headline story

I think Luke Brooks would be most pissed off , since he came to Manly to win a premiership and to prove his doubters wrong. He most likely won't win a premiership now unless a big 4 club signs him, but thats highly unlikely.

I watched Sam Walker and Hugo Savala dismantle the Dolphins tonight with surgical precision.

I only have one question.

What the f**k do the Roosters think Sid is going to bring to their team ? As far as I can see, he'll be playing for their NSW Cup team. Because they're both better than him.
Think Cherry might be getting a bit anxious on how he's going to fit into the Chooks team for next season. Maybe just to make sure Cherry is Bondi bound, how about we offer up Terry Matterson as a bonus, free of charge.

I think you will find they play Savala at 13
Personally I would love him at Manly as our 6

Cooper Cronk was highly critical of Daly Cherry-Evans' defence as the Sea Eagles slumped to a disappointing loss to Canberra on Friday night.

But Cherry-Evans was found wanting in defence on a number of occasions. After Manly took an early 6-0 lead, Ethan Strange brushed past DCE with ease on his way to scoring a brilliant solo try. Cronk labelled Cherry-Evans' effort "poor" after he threw his arms out and didn't put his body on the line.

"Cherry-Evans got caught up on Hudson Young as the lead runner, that was a poor effort there," Cronk said. "The No.1 rule against Strange is he has a strong left foot and will always try and beat you back inside."

I thought there were two things going on with his drop in form 1) he’s checked out 2) he’s saving himself for 2026.

But I could be wrong , maybe he’s gone one year too many and he at 36 is “ washed up “.

Every single half back he’s played against since the announcement has outplayed him 2 to 1.

If , as the story goes , he hasn’t yet inked a deal then reasons 1 & 2 above are pretty stupid.

I’m beginning to think he’s just at the end, but is too vain to admit it.

Now it looks like the Roosters will be probably paying for the DCE farewell tour next year when he's definitely past his best as a player. Schadenfreude can be fun.

Fox story suggesting the Roosters have gone cold on the Dollar Chaser , and his contract hasn’t been stamped by the NRL yet.

Now THAT would be Karma biting him on the arse big time 👏👏👏👏

3yr coaching deal (possibly) so he gets his beloved money and stays a one club player.
Lands on his feet I'd say, no way he can play another season.

Someone's been reading Silvertails...

Not going to post the article here, because it's waffle but Dean Ritchie basically rips into Manly fans for wanting him dropped. He lists DCE's accomplishments for Manly: 348 games, 184 wins. That's it. That's all he could write.

You know what's disrespectful and heartless, you self-proclaimed "dog", going on Channel 9, and proclaiming to the world and your teammates that you'd like to be anywhere BUT the place you have been for all of your career. Then playing like **** for the entire year, as if you're checked out completely.
