The Daly Cherrygraph

Well if you believe what Joe Kelly said in the Q & A, they didn't kill DCE's deal, they pulled it with a view to re-tabling something once the season was a few weeks old. They were getting dicked around by him and Orr so it's a fair move and justifiable.

I personally don't think he is cut out for a media career if what he's shown thus far is anything to go by. Very rehearsed, doesn't offer up much insight beyond cliches, no sense of humour on camera. He's dime a dozen. He really needs to relax and be a bit more off the cuff.
100% correct-he just comes across as a smarmy cliche riddled youngster, hell bent on cashing in all his chips at once. He is definitely mismanaged from the point of view that his image is now being seriously damaged, and playing at Manly doesn't really help that because everybody ****ing hates us

I think this media saga has massively reduced any chance of a backflip, which if the leak was Zorba was probably the whole goal. It has definitely been the strategy of the Titans and the NRL to make him out to be the bogeyman if he changed his mind - by getting on the front foot saying they expect him to honour his contract.

If a media career is what he's after, this circus has put him in an impossible situation... he can either:
1 - Go to the Titans where his media career will be practically non-existent, or
2 - Stay and have the media bash his reputation (massively hypocritical since the same punishment was not dealt to any of the other players to backflip on an offer).

At this point I don't mind if he stays or goes. If he stays we have a quality and marketable half. If he goes it will be fine as long as we use the money that we save on Elgey, Carney/Myler, and 2 or 3 intimidating forwards.

The media might bash his reputation now but that will last all of 5 minutes until the next click bait headline arrives.

Point in Question, Joey Johns druggie!!

Next year they made him an immortal

Now he's a Chan 9 superstar

And he works for Manly

So don't worry about Daly's reputation , it would be fine unless he committed murder!!

He is committing murder, he's murdering his career.

It would amaze me if Daly stayed.
It drives me nuts that the media is carrying on so much about the poor Titans if he does change his mind.
I think when the Tedesco kid reneged on his Canberra deal there were stories about how older tigpie players convinced him to stay loyal.
I read a comment in one of the articles stating that the people with the most to lose in this situation are the Titans fans.
Manly trained Chez since he was 17. Our fans have been following his first grade career for the past seven years, and the Titans are the ones suffering in all this?
The media's anti-Manly agenda is so transparent.

He has turned his back on the club, he wont be changing his mind, we all need to move on, no point going around in circles over this. Its done!

I'd say its even money stay or go.

DCE's pride will says go, but his wallet might just be saying stay.

Stay tuned to FOX Sports NEWS..........

Maybe the club turned on him first or maybe he just wants as much money as he can get and doesn't care where it comes from. I don't really know I just want some good news for Manly.

Goanna Inglis and his gf bashing court case for eg.

Totally agree and it really annoys me as well. Cameron Smith was saying he knew Daly and thought he would rightfully honour his Titans contract. I bet he wasn't telling Kevin Proctor to do the same last year when the poor old raiders thought he was going there and they were struggling to sign anyone.

Bang on! That is what really hurts us supporters

So nice of Cameron Smith

Now Cameron would know all about contracts and incentives to entice players to souless clubs supported by the game's administrators.

So hypocritical for him to be giving his opinion on what the 'rightful' thing is for Daly to be doing.

Excellent point niccipops.

It also annoys me that Cam Smith was saying 'honour the contract'. Fact is, pen has not touched paper. It was a handshake agreement only. Sure honour is still involved but business is business, and a contract is a written and signed agreement.

There is no contract to honour, just a handshake agreement.

If Daly is long term injured or gets a disease or some condition that hampers his performance in years to come you'll quickly see the Titans backflip.

Cronk was in the paper yesterday saying the same thing. The cheats should be the last ones handing out contract advise.
