I think this media saga has massively reduced any chance of a backflip, which if the leak was Zorba was probably the whole goal. It has definitely been the strategy of the Titans and the NRL to make him out to be the bogeyman if he changed his mind - by getting on the front foot saying they expect him to honour his contract.
If a media career is what he's after, this circus has put him in an impossible situation... he can either:
1 - Go to the Titans where his media career will be practically non-existent, or
2 - Stay and have the media bash his reputation (massively hypocritical since the same punishment was not dealt to any of the other players to backflip on an offer).
At this point I don't mind if he stays or goes. If he stays we have a quality and marketable half. If he goes it will be fine as long as we use the money that we save on Elgey, Carney/Myler, and 2 or 3 intimidating forwards.
