The Book of Albert

he was lent to the Warriors - that's a fact...
the Warriors would not have loaned a player who could not play - that's a fact...
our team have had injuries to outside backs and have demonstrated a lack of performance (2 wins from 7 games prior to Manly signing off on the loan and now 2 wins from 9 games) - also a fact...

I don't think there was THAT much speculation in his change of mind... in fact, the only speculation was the bit in bold - THAT is speculation...
Thanks for that buddy...please share the facts WHY he was loaned to the Worriers...that is the defining fact that explains it, and it's missing. All your other rambling is irrelevant without them.

your quote was that the OP's intitial thought was based in fact and his change of mind was based on speculation...
I pointed out that what the OP said was the reason for changing his mind had NOTHING to do with speculation...

take it as far off course as you like but I was merely pointing out that your statement that his change of mind was based on speculation was not actually based in fact.... buddy...

Wrong.
His decision to change his mind was based solely on the SPECULATION that there are not valid reasons to loan Hoppa out.

Good grief.

My attitude changed once he went on loan. If we think he is fit enough to be picked by another side he should of stayed and been considered for manly given all of our injuries and lack of performance.
Let's break it down for sh*ts and giggles...

My attitude change once he went on loan... FACT - he did go on loan

...if we think he is fit enough to be picked by another side... FACT - the Warriors MUST have been told by Manly he was fit to play because the Warriors would derive no benefit from being loaned an injured player

...then he should of stayed and been considered for manly... OPINION - the OP's own opinion

...given all of our injuries and lack of performance... FACT (and reason) - as much as some want to bury their head in the sand

I'm sorry but I am not seeing where the OP referred to any speculation in the part where he addressed his change of mind...

Really?
This isn't speculation?

"My attitude changed once he went on loan. If we think he is fit enough to be picked by another side he should of stayed and been considered for manly."

I highlighted it for bud...just to help your eyesight. PLUS, he speculated that there are no valid reasons for loaning, and not playing him.

I'm done, you're too bright for me mate. .

All the talk is about Hoppa and the shoe and that’s fair enough.
I can see the very young argument there ( not that I agree with it at all).

The selections that worry me more are Cust getting dropped a couple of weeks ago and the biggest of them all , Guaca being dropped for Waddell and JetSki- if there’s a reason for those I’d love to know what? Surely the coaching staff watch those two play.
Guaca getting dropped for them
Is an absolute joke and has to cast doubts on other selection decisions.

This has pissed me off the most as well. Just mind boggleing.

Maybe Walker was promised the 6 jersey as part of him taking a pay cut?

Just like all the other seemingly bewildering selection decisions...we don't know WHY they were made.

If Des is letting Dylan Walker decide who plays 6 ( I’m sure he’s not) then he’s lost it.

Not sure why matters to be honest. He’s paid to coach the best side. He is the man down there and rules with an iron fist.

Des is a control freak like Bellamy, possibly more so. Every team that runs out he regards as the best available... the team he thinks will win.
All this conspiracy stuff and back door dealings is just wrong. Des runs the show totally.

Des is picking the side he wants and is being conservative re young players...Shuster was never going to play this year at any stage. As head coach that is his perogative.
And only this carnage gives Shoe a slight chance.

There is no smoke and mirrors here in terms of Dessies philosophy. Fair enough.too .... that’s the way it should be ..... but as head coach the buck stops with him.

"if we think" - Manly MUST HAVE THOUGHT that he was fit enough to play for the Warriors to loan him - do you seriously think that his fitness wasn't discussed and they just took a chance?? Manly had to have advised the Warriors that he was fit because the Warriors are not just loaning charity cases from everywhere because they need extra mouths to feed...

PLUS at no point does he speculate about any other reasons for the loan - he simply says "then he should have stayed and played for us" which is an OPINION and has nothing to do with speculation...

the hilarious element is that any SPECULATION mentioned in the OP was in the part where he assumed the kid was being looked after - now that is speculation because none of us have any idea what the situation is between Albert and Des - unless we want to take John's opinion of the situation as gospel which I would suggest is fraught with danger...

...nothing wrong with my eyesight or comprehension but I guess you just want to read something else because it suits your agenda so woteva...

Look I hope Des is not so petulant that he reads what we say
Petulant? I think the word you were looking for was "foolish".
And no need to hope, I have met Desmond and happy to confirm he is neither petulant nor foolish. He's an honourable man, with a deep understanding of rugby league, and with a massive work ethic (Catholic guilt?), who is unquestionably dedicated to helping his players improve and grow.
Doesn't mean all his decisions are correct, of course.
