After that great win, the team just seemed to lose their enthusiasm when AFB was penalised and then later suspended for his outburst against the referee for not awarding them a penalty at the end of the game. They have seemed a different team since then and don’t play with the same passion any more.

Not saying this is an excuse, but I think there are a bunch of teams who are prob struggling a bit motivation wise in these covid times. I wonder if we are counting down the weeks now.

The thing is if the players could get back to their something like their best form they should go very close to winning the last 4 games. They would at least finish the season off on a great note and give us fans something to look forward to next year. I don’t know if the young players are going to make a great deal of difference though as they haven’t had any match practice at all this year.

at least we get to find out and they get some experience for next year ,as that what it is really all about ,or at least should be given our position

This morning Laurie Daley called him one of the best prospects there is - better than Bradman Best - but added that he thought Des was probably trying to avoid using him this year due to his age and 2 ACLs. He thought that would have been the ideal.

I read some of his "replies". At a guess he was not thinking clearly which is saying something considering his normal state of mind

I heard Hoppa was talked out of being so stupid before the fight .... but it Doesn't matter what happened ... if Hoppa has publicly stated he was paid to take a dive .... surely the Boxing Federation have to investigate if only to protect the "integrity" of their sport .... and the Police have to investigate for all the punters ... a sticky wicket ...
