Parker and Koula for now. but what happens when Saab is back. Do you move Garrick to centres and replace Parker (what was promised) or get rid of tippy toes and keep the current centre pairing?
Parker’s next game will his 100th NRL match. Good timing, it’s at home.I love Parker. He's tough and is brilliant defensively.
I'll get caned for this, but he'd make a good lock. Yeah he's not the biggest bloke, but he deserves to be in our starting side.
Weekes & Koula would be my picks.
Long term. Where does Weekes fit in? he may be offered big money to play fullback or 5/8 somewhere else. Can we afford to match it? if we do.. where does he play. At full strength. Fullback and 5/8 are covered. We are not going to pay big money for a winger. Centre would be the only option. Can he play there? Got a feeling he will be squeezed out unfortunately. Gutherson style.
I love Parker's lines in the 20m zone, wether decoy or recipient just class. When Schu and Tom click and are back to full fitness, Parker’s line/hole running will be invaluable in drawing defenders and creating space.
Nothing wrong with having an opinion and I get where You are coming from. I am a big fan of Brad , I love his work ethic and Toughness. I am happy for him to be in the 17 each week or happy to see a Youngster get a crack.Ohhhhh man.... I'm gunna cop heat for this....
I feel that Parker had his best game ever for manly against the Bulldogs & for that I 100% congratulate him. However I've seen him play every game that he's played in the top grade along with many in the lower grades & to me he's far too slow & awkward (he made just one line break all last season) to hold out the likes of Weekes who I would like to be given the opportunity to shine in the centres.
In short, if your trying not to lose a game then choose Parker, But if youre trying to win a game put Weekes in there!
I'll go sit in the corner & wait for my hiding now!

Think it was Haumole's 50th last weekend.Parker’s next game will his 100th NRL match. Good timing, it’s at home.

I think your gut feeling is probably the way it will end up, with some quality younger players coming through there is some tough decisions to be made.Long term. You’re only as good as your last game and brads last was terrific. If he can deliver that form there’s not many I’d trade him for.I remember hearing on the fifth and last podcast Brock Shepperd saying he attended a Manly training session this off season and that Brad Parker was the player who stood out the most to him. The work rate is undeniable.
All valid questions. Fainu is another worry. Shuster could have the position on lock. Can fainu play 7? Maybe worth starting him there. Myers will get in eventually. Can see Weekes leaving. Humphries is an interesting one. May have played trials if he didn't get injured.I think your gut feeling is probably the way it will end up, with some quality younger players coming through there is some tough decisions to be made.
Can the club match the dollars offered to Koula from others? Where and when does young Fainu come into the plans in the halves? Myers looked good in the trials at left centre, Humphries is he the future when DCE calls it a day? Does Weekes have a kicking game that could put the 7 on his back eventually?
If Weekes is to stay the centre position would be his best crack in cementing a spot in the 13 down.
When was that promised? The club just said he would be looked at as a centre. They did not state who he might replace.Parker and Koula for now. but what happens when Saab is back.
