Hayne did not play in the parra 2022 grand final and so you are being irrelevant here

in 2021 we made the qualifying grand final and not the grand final and you are not comparing apples with apples and so you are being irrelevant here

You agree that making a grand final is an achievement but you say that Arthur is a flop for making a grand final and again you are being irrelevant here

You have the right to stand by your irrelevant opinion
As usual It has been a pleasurer exchanging posts with you
Have a great day feathered friend
I had a “ seniors moment “ about Hayne , for that I apologise , nevertheless my opinion is that with the personnel he’s had during his time there , he’s done nothing.

The Eels are still 38 years ( and counting ) without success.

I think Boldy could have as little as two weeks to win over we fans. Is he a good coach?
Well, there are two contentious issues imo.
1. Should Sandwich remain at centre or return to the wing?
2. How can Brooks regain form?
Even if they both have shockers against the 'Boys, Sandwich and Brooks will retain their places for the following match with Newcastle because we'll be a halfback down due to SOO. Hoppa Jnr Jnr will simply come in to the backline. Brooks may shift to halfback.
Depending on their form the following match with the 'Tits could be where Boldy has to make some critical decisions and prove he has what it takes to be an insightful coach:
1. Does he retract his promises to Sandwich and banish him to the wing, and/or
2. Does he drop Brooks and shift TT2 into five-eight?
The easiest thing for any coach to do is stick with the status quo. We blasted Despicable for doing this and not giving other players a chance. The next two weeks could prove decisive in the fortunes of Boldy, and our final eight aspirations in 2024.

So it would have been his fault if we lost.

But we won. So what now?
Oh you silly thing! 🤪 this is how it rolls here - we credit DCE but point out he missed an earlier sitter which almost cost us the game, ignore his Maradona moment that got us the field possible for the pen goal, and lament the lack of urgency to shut down Drinkwaters 2pt FG.

We then count ourselves lucky that Towsend and Holmes were picked out to try for the game winners (not Drinkwater) and blame crap game control for even allowing them the opportunity in the first place!

Then we deal with the DCE is overpaid quotient, mix that with the Turbo was flat as fk, Garrick has no business in the centres and Aloiai butterfingers negatives to paint a target on Seibold.

You see how that works? Well, now you do. Sack Seibold obviously..

For me there is still a question mark over Brooks. His defence has been good but very little in the way of attack. And is he be instructed to kick the ball directly to the opposition winger or fullback?
His kicks never threaten nor do they find the turf. Surely he's better than he's shown recently.

To be honest, most teams nowadays, kick high and aim to come down within the oppositions 20m mark because it gives them time to get down there and wrap them up with minimal metres gained. And it almost always negates a 7 tackle set.The bomb has become common place in the game and given there’s very little attempt by the attacking team to contest it,it becomes quite boring

When he was interviewed on field straight after the game his complexion was worryingly florid (unless it was just my TV playing up)
NRL coaching not good for the blood pressure!
Mate, when the cameras panned up to our coaching box, I wondered if Seibold was fighting Hales for the last spring roll on the Country Bank Stadium hospitality tray. Lotta beef in that box. I was hoping they are not representative of our fitness and conditioning.

he still sucks. we should have lost. by a lot. we won by 1 thanks to DCE again. cows bombed what 4 trys at least and missed 2 sitter drop goals.... how did seibold have us up for that game? we were lucky.

We had a try disallowed that everyone thought was a contest for the ball except the person in the bunker. There was also another blown try If Saabs pass doesn’t float forward to Olakuatu. DCE missed a sitter FG too.

Cows position on the ladder isn’t great but they still have a quality team with 6 origin players (tied for most), when they are on I think they could beat anyone in the comp barring full strength Panthers & Storm. We definitely had some luck in that game but I also think it’s one of the better games Cows have played this year with the humid slippery conditions suiting them

I haven’t seen Seibold interviewed on ground straight after a game before. I have to admit he sounded better in terms of genuine answers and reasoning. Much better than his post-match
" proud, brave, free throw at the stumps crap".
