Storm or Roosters

Hall will replace Ferguson on the wing. He's been arguably the best winger in the game since about 2011.
Where do you put Brett Morris then?

01. Tedesco
02.
03. Mitchell
04. Manu
05. Tupou
06. Keary
07. Cronk

Try and fit Lamb, Hall and Morris into that? Hehehe

Woke up, checked the interweb, saw the result and smiled a little.

Was it the best GF (illegal) money could buy? Dunno, check out the silvertails thread.

Read it, still no idea.

I looked at the clip of munster kicking manu and boy oh boy, didn't munster run backwards faster than rothfool to a happy hour? Looking at Manu all sprawled out, almost unconscious, right up until he heard the ref blow the whistle. Didn't he recover quickly from that? Jumped straight up! A shame diving and acting is now a part of the game but sometimes the refs miss obvious things so players feel they gotta help them out.
That 'play acting' - ok. Slater's massive 'dive' pretending he got taken out when the field goal was kicked.... not ok.

Remember a couple of years back DCE getting hammered by all the 'experts' for hitting the deck against the Broncos when a defender made contact with him ?

That's the 3rd time this season Billy has taken a dive like that, the other 2 got players sin binned, and not a peep out of any of the gibbering heads about it

What I enjoyed was the Rorters bashing the Scumos from the first minute. :punch:

Looked like Gladys' Light Rail was aimed directly up the middle of the field and the Scumos were under the carriage 😛

It was a demoralizing 40 minutes, then the 2nd half produced the classic Slater cheat sheet but this time the Ref waved him away for the first time :finger:

I did not watch the game last night but as usual the Silvertails forum brings me up to date with what is happening in the RL World .
I have talked about how the winners of this world overcome adversity and use it to work for them. The winners when faced with adversity always focus on alternative solutions and not dwell on unproductive , useless and uninspiring excuses . They use adversity to their advantage to work for them . I have read on here that Cronk was merely a passenger in the game as he was obviously not physical fit enough to play and he did not recover from his debilitating injury . By the sounds of it the Roosters innovative coach put Cronk the passenger in the drivers seat inspiring his players not only with direction but with his courageous effort just to be on the field . Many times great teams in the past have won big games with big efforts from all team mates when they were forced to play with one or two men down . As I have said before , when we have our backs against the wall most of us come out fighting with much more vigour and that is what a tough resilient footy culture is made out of .
Great facilities dont create a tough resilient footy culture . Great innovative and inspirational coaches do and some coaches haven't got a fcking clue

BTW, did anyone else notice when they were interviewing Cronk after the game that he thanked the Storm for all they did for him, he thanked Bellamy, he thanked Slater and he thanked Hoffman.

No thanks to Scam though @:D. That feud is running deep.....
Fueds are not only within our club . Fueds are in every club , Every family , Every organisation . Fueds are a fact of life unfortunately
I would rather be with our Manly family fued than any other

Cameron Munster has become the first player in recorded rugby league history to be sent to the bin twice in a grand final.

The star five-eighth also made a series of errors, missed three tackles and spilled the ball twice.

He was speechless after being sent to the sin bin for the second time in the 78th minute when he was busted kicking Roosters centre Joseph Manu in the head as he lay on the ground.

Munster only made light contact to Manu’s head, but it was enough for him to be given an early night.

He had earlier cost the Storm its first try when he failed to pass the ball when there were three unmarked men on the Storm’s left edge as Joseph Manu made a certain try-saving tackle.

It just wasn’t his night.

NRL guru Phil Gould accused Munster of inexperience and immaturity.

“For the last few sets of six, a couple of the Storm players have been looking for some cheap victories. He gets up and, bang, kicks him in the back of the head,” he said.

“It wasn’t a big one. He has been running into tackles, the game is over and that is frustration. I think it is a send-off.”

Last night's game was rubbish from the outset. Roosters threw everything into getting the momentum at the start and then the referees right on cue started awarding them all the penalties and six again calls.

The only thing good about is that the Storm have won so many finals at home this same way that it was funny seeing it happen to them.

None of it makes up for the way rugby league is officiated and run in 2018 is a dead set farce. There was no contest in the game. Play the grand final again today with the Storm getting the ball from the kickoff and they would win 21-6 under those referees and rulings.

Classy work from Cronk walking around hugging the Drizzle boys at the end, but didn’t go anywhere near Scam.

Yep, the feud continues without a doubt!!

Seriously what a defensive effort that was by 12 Rorters, yep played with 12 all night.

Over the cap yes indeed, but still a pretty incredible performance!!

It is pretty clear why AFL crowds and support are a mile ahead of the NRL.... the AFL Grand Final on Saturday was a great watch... helter skelter, continuous, and entertaining.... last nights NRL Grand Final was terrible. That game did nothing to attract fans to the game. A team overloaded with superstars dominating a team religiously intent on trying to slow the game down. No wonder the crowd numbers are down.
Something radical needs to change in the way the ruck area is refereed.... there should be no more holding down. The ref should call 'held' and players should have to immediately let go. The game is soooooooooooooooo slow these days.
