I don't really give nsw much of a chance in game 3. They'll probably still be favs with the bookies though. lol
Agree , forget trying to win it , use it as experience for emerging players.Wow. NSW is in real trouble, not because they have picked 'yesterday's men' in Gutherson and Walker specifically but because they are looking backwards, not forward. SOO 3 should be an early audition for promising NSW players who will be in contention for future series. Unearthing future talent is what NSW needs to do more so than having a pyrrhic victory in a dead rubber.
I read that Smith was being appointed as a coaching director of sorts to help Fitler with his erratic selections, not sure if his been appointed yet or starts next year, either way keeping Filter on as coach is ridiculous, his destroyed NSW and is clueless as a coach and selector, NSW needs a clean out from the top down. The Westpac NSW Blues today have named two debutants for Game Three of the Ampol State of Origin series at Accor Stadium in Sydney on Wednesday 12 July.
Back-rower Keaon Koloamatangi (South Sydney Rabbitohs) and centre Bradman Best (Newcastle Knights) have both been named in the starting side to make their debuts.
Other changes include Cody Walker (South Sydney Rabbitohs) at five-eighth, and Jake Trbojevic (Manly Warringah Sea Eagles) and Reagan-Campbell-Gillard (Parramatta Eels) at prop. Jacob Saifiti (Newcastle Knights) and Clint Gutherson (Parramatta Eels) have been named on the bench.
Walker has played four games for NSW with his last appearance coming in 2020 while Trbojevic has played 15 games for the Blues but was unavailable for the first two games this year with a calf injury. Campbell-Gillard has played two games for his state including Game One in last year's series, Saifiti made his debut in Game Three last year, while Gutherson played three games in 2020.
The extended bench includes Scott Drinkwater (North Queensland Cowboys) and Spencer Leniu (Penrith Panthers). Both are yet to debut for the Blues.
A proud NSW team will be aiming for a win at their home ground with the support of all their fans, including The Star Blatchys Blues fans in the iconic blue wig.

I read somewhere that Fittler is going to be resigned with Brian Smith to be appointed coaching director, looking like the blues will continue the losing streak, wtf is wrong with the powers that be?Good ol Freddie
Panic stations no doubtI thought Utoikamanu was very ordinary in his Origin debut. Looked to be playing at half speed, although you could say that about most of the NSW forwards. So I'm not surprised to see him dropped for game three. Same for Hudson Young. But seriously, it can't do much for their confidence to be punted like that. Why not give the blokes who lost the first two games a chance to make amends instead of throwing others to the slaughter?
3 nil it is then. Oh dear! The Westpac NSW Blues today have named two debutants for Game Three of the Ampol State of Origin series at Accor Stadium in Sydney on Wednesday 12 July.

Some good additions to the NSW side. Only two middles on the bench though. However, Robson can also play lock. Burton maybe won't be available. Is Gutherson a knee jerk bench selection? Not sure how Best will go defensively in Origin. The Westpac NSW Blues today have named two debutants for Game Three of the Ampol State of Origin series at Accor Stadium in Sydney on Wednesday 12 July.

Look on the bright side, when they do the player intros, Clint can step towards the camera and mutter, ‘Clint Gutherson, Cromer Kingfishers’.Wow. RCG had a groin injury early in the season & was unavailable for Game One. He returned from injury the weekend before Game Two selection. In that game, it was obvious that he was lacking match fitness.4 How Junior Paulo was ever picked over RCG in the first 2 matches was a joke. He is 10KG over weight and has zero lateral movement in defence.
I'm a fan of JAC, but he's been awful through both Origin games and really should be one of the first players dropped.2 the selections JAC proves the team isnt picked on form.
