SOO, Jake, DCE, general discussion

Let’s face it, nsw lost the series when we played like dickheads in game one. If we’d have come out with full on intensity like we did in hame 2 - with our home crowd behind us - we’d have wrapped up the series in Perth and tonight would’ve been nothing. Instead we openly admitted that we didn’t play with the right intensity, like we did in game 2?! Why phucking not!!!!! Every god damn game should be played with maximum phucking effort!!! Filter must take responsibility for not emphasising that before game 1. It’s do or die right from the start. It game 2 not game 3. RIGHT FROM THE PHUCKING START!!!!

You saw tonight the way to beat the Riff, early kicking and chasing. Their guys are used to have all the field position. Under pressure tonight in their own half so many errors from their key players.

You don't think Latrell and Turbo would make a difference? OK...
Chrighton and Talakai were embarrassing...
Neither of those changes may make up for the head farrrrk belief system we have. It seems we have to have an astronomically better team to hope to win. Even then, QLD mindset just rises above it and does our head in.

For all the Fiddler talk of new age bare foot guru $hit, he dropped RCG because the Penny boys had a whinge. karma just farrrrked you in the a$$, Fiddler.

If someone better than me can capture the redneck cheer at the end - focusing in on the toothless idiot... then play dueling banjos against it, we would see no difference in the two videos

😂 we keep things simple up here, matches us. Pigtails on men, boom boxes and cool sunnies are over rated.

Slater easily outcoached Fiddler.

He took his time and picked a squad of 30 b4 origin one. He installed belief in the Qldr's and promised them they were the best 30 players available. When they had injuries, all he did was use the players he had in the 30.

What did Fiddler do?

Sacked loyal players from last year and only showed loyalty when we won. Which basically is NO LOYALTY.

Time to step down Fiddler.

I’m not saying Whighton is some super hero, nor Jake for that matter.. but the decisions to leave those guys out revealed much about Fiddler’s mindset and values… and quite frankly, those values and mindsets are not good enough for NSW.

But hey, that’s just my passion for my state, a$$holes.

I’m remember the narrative when I first started following rugby league was that QLD play with more passion than NSW and you have to say, it’s true. Too often the Maroons win games and/or series that they have no right to win...all the odds are stacked against them, they have inferior line ups and time and again, they defy the odds. It’s too often for it to be a coincidence. Clearly they want it more.

Whighton is an Origin player - tough, relentless and puts his body on the line over and over. Crichton has some speed, but not much else.

Maroon is the colour of passion

and The Maroon passion once again prevailed and conquered the Origin series

Congratulations to the Victorious Maroon leader DCE who led his team and triumphed over both adversity and the NSW Blues

Hail the Unparalleled Maroon winning spirit

One thing that QLD did very well again tonight, like in game 1 was kick pressure. I don't know why Manly and actually a lot of teams at club level don't attack the kicker with pressure.

It really limited Cleary's kicking game and cut down his options
They battered Burton out of the game from the start. It was a clear strategy and paid dividends. Burton had one decent kick the whole game. Out-coached.

No diss on Crichton, but he really looked like Bambi out there for the whole series. You can’t put him in just because he’s doing well in a dominant NRL team. You need to take into account what origin is about. He is not origin material (not yet, at least).
