Lol. Having given such great advice, I moronically had a dabble in said thread last night , only to be shot down as expected. I’ve come up with a better idea. Just give @MuzztheEagle my agree tick. Well for me - I love reading about what is happening and people's views but I would say as someone outside the clique that this site and the forums are very very cliquey and people like myself and others who might be new or not friends with people on here - your views or posts are generally ignored as the clique set about just responding to each other. Now I am sure I will receive smart a??? and disparaging comments for holding this view and again that is part of the reason for the decline - alternate views are ridiculed and sometimes with vitriol and so people give up and find alternate mediums to discuss Manly issues.

I would go further and say that the majority of Silvertail members are of the same political bent - left/liberal/woke (whatever you want to call it). They all share the same opinions and there is no variety of thought on here at all. Most ‘conservative’ members have been chased away (see ‘Terry Randall’). Just my opinion of course. The mods can be the worst offenders at times! Most football threads commonly turn into a conservative/religion bashing exercise. There’s 50% of your market alienated right there. Food for thought...

Just despise the nastiness at times on here I suppose. In my playing day I was as nasty as anyone - probably more so and I can certainly give as good as I can get but everyone just needs to show some respect and if they don't - boot them off for a day, a week - a month etc.

Mate if silvertails were to do that @Woodsie would be a bit like John Hoppa. Spending more time in the stands than on the field. And no one wants that....

Let me be clear that I'm not directly having a go @ woodsie. We have butted heads on a number of times in my early says but I too have lernt to like him by not biting.
But in the spirit of honesty when I first landed here a few posters here came across as complete dicks in a confrontational way
I can see why some may be scared off by the punchlines of some.

I don't have a Facebook page nor do I use it.
Ditto all the other social media avenues.
This Forum is where I come to you get news about Manly and to share my opinions.
I've never had any problems. I'm not in a clique, and I have only met a couple of the other Forum posters in the flesh. So as far as I'm concerned this site is most important to me.

To be honest I feel the reason for a recent decline over the last year is the fact that the team is in a better place. Tooveys controversial sacking, dce and foz contract drama, rapid on-field decline and negative culture changes under Tbaz led a lot of frustrated people to talk on forums (I joined during the absolute disappointment of 2016). Now that manly is in a better place, and there is less drama to talk about and give opinions on a-lot of those angry people are popping in a bit less. That's my 2 cents, but of course that would be compacted by the points you made as well. If manly are really proven to be strong premiership threats in early 2020 then expect a bunch more to rejoin the fray with lots to talk about.

I am actually a fairly open minded person. But I cannot stand the agree to disagree or that's just your opinion lines. Which is actually one of the reasons I love Silvertails. It's easy to head to many social media sites with nothing but like minded people (I think 4/8chan has moved (again) - if you were wondering where it went *joke) and reinforce your own beliefs. Here you can throw up an idea with almost no guarantee of the range of responses you will get. Then you can discuss the validity of your opinion (or just tell everyone that we can agree to disagree). Also, I don't think the side of tracks anyone is one makes them safe, there aren't many on here that I haven't had a disagreement with or questioned the logic of.

I've also been attempting to pull as much of this garbage debate away from the football forum as possible.
