Should Turbo/DCE Play State of Origin?

I think I'd prefer DCE to play Origin as I'd probably enjoy watching us more in those weeks he isn't there, good for NSW if he plays as well.

I'd say Tom needs to repay the club at this point though. We likely lose this weekend and head into the bye at 3-5. After that it's two more tough games with Sharks at home and Cowboys away, every chance we lose both but let's say we win one and are 4-6 heading into the Origin period. I don't think it will look particularly good if Tom goes off to Origin again when we're outside the 8 and needing wins, when he's only just returned from another injury. There's no way he backs up either so I think at best we'd have him for 2 of the 6 games we play over the period.

Time to repay the club, he was allegedly wanting to pay back some of his salary last year but that was never going to be allowed, this is an actual opportunity to give back.

No chance Jake gets picked and Haumole should but likely won't, which is good for us anyway.

I do't think manly will have a single representative in Origin 1. Bold call. But i think Guac will not make the bench, Jake is done, and both DCE and Tom are out of form/injured.

Sad really.... when was the last time we didn't have a single player in either squad?

What are the odds that the unsigned Bullemor makes it, but not any of them lol

The love Manly fans had for their skipper when he first announced he was leaving is evaporating by the day and they won't take too kindly to him taking off for another Origin campaign. Coach Anthony Seibold or club management won’t stand in his way but you don't have to be Einstein to work out what their preference would be.

Maroons coach Billy Slater is of the belief the 36-year-old will go around again. And that probably tells you all you need to know.

Is there any fear that if Turbo is selected for State of Origin the NRL will deem a higher minimum amount for his next contract than might otherwise be the case?

Jake has the Big Passion to play Origin
But he does not have the Big Play any more
I do not think he will be selected over the more inform , faster and furious forwards

DCE is the most Eligible Elite QLD no7 and Leader
He should make him self available like all other Elite players do

Honestly, i don't know how Tom makes the team.

I’d have a fit turbo over everyone in that list. Still don’t want him in origin though.

If DCE plays Origin obviously Manly will need a different captain...
Maybe that would be the ideal time to make the change permanent...
Captaincy stays with the replacement captain as part of natural progression of moving towards life without DCE...
