Seibold Ball

Nah, that would be for the captain or leading players to set that example. If he was a player coach then sure. But a head coach to inspire the players with his fitness? His job is ideas strategies and from everything he's said he's very big on the players driving the motivation.

Having said that you need to be healthy or your mind doesn't work properly either. Seibs to me looks pretty healthy (not so sure about the assistant though!)
Have to disagree. Wayne Bennett bench presses in front of his squad for a reason and I recall reading of admiration from some of his players about it. Btw, have you seen the arms on Craig Bellamy?!

Of course, I’m not suggesting it defines a person and that they cannot be successful unless they too are an elite athlete but when you look across the NRL, how many head coaches are in poor shape?

Coincidence, or…

I’m predicting a dig into the archives to find a successful premiership winning coach from a bygone era that was carrying a few extra kilograms but you’ll be tracking a fair way back to days of cigarettes at half time 😂

Harry bath?

So we ain't winning comps cause Siebs loves a feed, and catching a few zzzz's at Maccas at 3am?
we aren't talking about Seibs...it's also been stated that it does not define success. It's just an interesting observation and nothing to get too hung up about. I'd prefer an athletic coaching staff because I like the optics of it...but each to their own.

Jack Gibson is the archetype you're looking for 😊

Cranky Frankie had a ‘robust’ build during his coaching days. Ron Willey was fit looking. Bozo was a fitness freak for a very long time and of course Des has already been mentioned.

Trent B was literally a model, six-pack and fit as. We know how that turned out. Seibs and any coach for our club is struggling with stars on overpaid contracts who aren't performing. Tommy is a coach sacking killer over past few years, Jake is on double he should be and maybe DCE is a bit over too. He's stuck with Josh A on a terrible contract, and controversially Paseka who I reckon is in the 6th year of all of us saying he is going to need to step up (man mountain) and never has. Koula is still on potential and big dough.

Des has let himself go.
It is a shame Des has let him self go
Because when We let our self go . We let our Health go
Des coaching has declined and so has his dedication to his health and fitness

Now a Persons ability to manage people is not defined by how overweight they are
What this defines is their lack of discipline to their health and fitness

Every bit Makes a Difference ....
Sport is a health and fitness code and a fit looking commander of a team would be more appropriate and inspiring than a overweight leader that let himself go .

No one is perfect as perfection is an ongoing towards a state excellence
And the state on how we stand and present out selves is all part of that
IMO a Leader must look the part and be the Whole

Des has let himself go.
Des, the former fitness freak, wouldn't have 'let himself go' willingly. He ended up with bad hip/s, and had hip replacement surgery back in the 2019 off-season / 2020 pre-season which would have attributed to his current size and fitness.

Good morning to our hard working and Manly News posting feathered friend @Jethro and thank you for your efforts .

There are many excuses for being unfit and overweight but there are also as many solutions to counter this

A person with bad hips can swim and cycle
A person with bad hips can have surgery and recover and regain their mobility and their ability to do the things that they could do before the operation .

At the end of the day putting on weight is all about the sht we put in our mouths
The proof of this is all people being equal . The people in third world countries where there are no Fat fast food stores and liquor stores are all skin and bones regardless of any hip problems and thyroid and hormone problems etc etc etc

We all have addictions
Manly Sea eagles addictions ,Sex addictions , Work addictions , Smoke addictions , Alcohol addictions and food addictions

The moral of the story
Beat the addictions and we win the war that is weighing us down
The Fat proof is in the pudding

NO EXCUSES
ONLY CHOICES
We either aim up or fck up

Only you could cite the poverty and hunger in 3rd world countries as proof of all people being equal.
I'm simultaneously horrified by you️r world view and oddly impressed at thinking 'outside the box'

I think Seinfeld needs to get the boys together for a venting session to get it all out about how they feel about DCE and what he has done and can they put it behind them and move on because his job will be on the line as well otherwise its Haumole at ten paces for DCE followed by the rest of the team
Airing of grievances I like it. Then they can do feats of strength 😀
