Footy is back ... my doggies supporting mate Big Scotty has already texted me 7 times this morning .... the pest is super confident ....

My gut feel is we need to blow them out of the game early ... or they will revel in an arm wrestle ...

As an aside I am prepared to bet that Tommy runs for more metres tonight .. than the total Lattrine has run in his 3 games ... 184m .... any takers ?

Shame we don't have Fainu/Korisau combo this yr. I think that would have been a perfect mix for the new upbeat style of footy in 2020 around the ruck. That said, agree re Dylan - I'm liking the improved skillset he's showing with the ball as 5/8 but love to see him running more too. Go Manly Now wtf is Brad..

I can’t help feeling a little nervous especially with such an influential new rule just introduced so despite ladder positions and last years form this isn’t a given for two points.

Its lucky we have the last game as Des has had 7 other games to evaluate it so hopefully he , and the boys , will have made the necessary adjustments needed to dominate.

As long as Manly 's cut out supporters in the stands are better then the Bulldogs , we should be specials . [ but on a serious note providing Manly 's defence is in order , should be able to get the points . can not afford to switch off at any stage with this current format though ]

I've seen a few late mail reports and none of them have him being a late inclusion. But who knows with Des. Has he had any footy since last year though ?? Didn't play 9's and didn't play for us or Blacktown in early rounds. You'd have to think he may be a bit underdone in preparation ??

Really, with the team we have, our master coach and staff, and the fact that Tom, Jake, AFB and a couple of others would be fully healed by now, i can only expect Manly to absolutely pulverize the Bulldogs tonight. If we are on our game we will win by 40+. If we play at 75% we will win by 24-30 pts. If we only play for 40 mins we will win by 12-20.


My prediction - Manly 48 Bulldogs 12

But a scoreline of 60 - 6 in favour of Manly would not surprise me at all.

Great for footy....21 degrees, lovely day, getting down to 16-15 by 8pm. All clear, all good!

Would think this is an ideal game for Jetski to get some match fitness in preparation for next week.
