Interesting that DCE gets another two years, right after CEO Humphreys is dumped, there by in my conspiracy theorist mind, that his son will follow. OR they were always going to give DCE the two years, and I’m full of shiit. (Be kind.😉).

I think we all agree that Foran has been playing well, but if we are to seriously challenge the top teams we must go to another level. We won't do that by being conservative and sticking to the backline we've had in the first four matches.
The Shoe provides an X-factor. He must be tried at 5/8 to see if we can improve. I don't see any other player in our squad who could come into the top 17 and potentially have such an impact.

DCE is the man he needs to replace, not Foz.

Hopefully we can keep him!

Hopefully we can keep him!

“He’s contracted to the club and we really want him to stay,” Penn said. “He’s definitely part of our future and he’s in our emerging squad. He’s very talented.

Less than a week later Penn signs DCE to the end of 2025.

Humphrey's will be playing for another club sooner than later.

Yeah Penn is just trying to cover his ass so that when Humphreys leaves and people aren’t happy about losing a good junior, he can make it seem like the club really tried to keep him, when in reality he was never going to play first grade while DCE is at the club. Humphreys is goneeee

Foz is at the end of a long career and he should do a Ash Barty. You need to know when to quit. It wound be an easy decision if we won the GF.
As I have mentioned a few times on this forum ,it is hard to see Manly winning the title with Evans and Foran in the halves while the top teams have youngsters in their halves .

The old saying you need old heads on young shoulders but very rarely do you get it ,I think the succession plan is underway with the backrow from tigers coming next year and Davey's form so far but Foz is playing well and it will be interesting what Does does with the make up of the side when Shu comes back

Let's just think about succession planning. DES had Foz hanging out with some great teams when he was just a kid. Those who learn from the best generally turn out pretty good, have you heard of a bloke called turbo because I'm pretty sure the no 1 before him wasn't just handy either. The older they get the less they stay on the park, Cam Smith is just a lucky freak. Then let's not forget Turbo started on the wing, no matter how good a young star may be it's not uncommon to spend a season or two out of position, it's a team FFS and frankly those skills and experiences young blokes get are part of learning the craft.

2025 is 3 years away. I'm saying Jamie don't take Ur foot of the peddle, the amount of time to learn off DCE just bloody shrunk.

So Danny weirdler stirs up rubbish on 100% Grumpy Footy that Schuster’s management are agitating again for him to play 6. Apparently they are concerned the agreement was either old CEO and clearly leveraging the fact that Foz is off contract.

Things have changed with DCE recently resigning meaning it would be more likely Foz moves to hooker or 14 than say DCE to hooker.

I would just like to see him back on the field before stirring sh*t via Weirdler. It was very unconvincing “mail” on his part and sounded like his usual tripe.

They also mentioned Harper’s unlikelihood of being selected this week but Gal said his winger was also at fault on a lot of the plays. How can meathead see the deficiencies in Harper and Saab but not Des. Worrying stuff.

Weidler just on 100% Footy saying Schuster's manager has written to Manly reminding them that when his contract was extended, they were told he'd be playing 5/8. This also jeopardises Foz's contract renewal negotiations, as Foz is hoping to stay at Manly (and presumably keep playing at 5/8).

Imo Schuster's manager should have nothing to say while Schuster sits on the sideline and hasn't played yet in 2022. Meanwhile Foz's played in every game, been one of our best and if his good form continues, deserves to be renewed.

Schuster's manager infuriates me - or Weidler for beating up a nothing story and trying to stir up trouble that we don't need @

Well if true then they've got a hide considering how much time he's spent on the sidelines last year and this. Seriously he needs to lose several kegs and up his speed judging on last year for 5/8. How about waiting till we've actually played some games before having a whinge.

Very interesting to notice Gould for the first time has nothing to say on any rugby league subject as Schuster will be ideal for the dogs at the moment .With Schuster as his creative half ,Gould can get rid of 3 players in Flanagan ,Averello , Wakeham and has 2 extra spots for his top 30 .
Let's wait and see what Schuster has to say when he faces the media next as we have not seen him play or on our player media interviews this year .Schuster is a Manly boy and is hard to see him leaving Manly unless Des wants him out the door and resign Foran till 2025 like Evans .

Schuster would not be ideal for the Dogs.

Him and Burton are both stars but would not compliment each other.
