Tidbit in yesterday Telecrap suggests that the decision on the appeal is at least a further two weeks away!! It rolls on and on and on and on!!

The longer it takes the more it indicates Manly has put up a believable argument.
Now the NRL has to try to stop losing face. By now it would have called in its PR guru to draft a 'credible' response. The PR guru would be crafting Q&As for use by Greenturd or whoever the NRL decides can lie the best. Beatty has had the most experience of this so he may be enlisted.
Stand by for an announcement on a Friday night minutes before the start of an important match. Stand by for double-speak and obfuscation, with the NRL hoping that the decision will be buried by other RL-related news over the weekend.
And let's face it. When Manly wins the appeal who is really going to care except we Manly fans, and no-one seems to take any notice of us.
That would suggest you think we’ve either won OR had a significant reduction in the penalty?
We're saying that we are waiting for the nrl's opportune time to release the results...
but....
If the case is being reviewed by fine upstanding, knowledgeable and relatively independent men.... why wouldn't they just release their decision when they are done? Why would they care about protecting the nrl's integrity via specific timing?
I may have missed something. I just thought they would tell the nrl and Manly at the same time when done. Otherwise it's another case of intoddgrity doing the rounds.

Give us our right to appeal and so we can at-least try and salvage something for next year. You have completely screwed up the NRL and the game is on life support. My prediction is that Todd is currently working on a plan to hammer us in the media over this salary cap drama to make himself look great. Look for it to come out soon so he can win back some favour with the NRL fans by sticking the boot into Manly and deflecting the bad press.
Look i hate todd as much as everyone else, maybe more. Does that make me a real supporter of todds demise where others are just fans. Sorry had to have some fun
Anyway todd decided our fate the first time around. It sounds to me the penns have done a good thing here by making the NRL work very hard and i presume at much cost to challenge todds opinion
The reputable QC will hand down its finding to both parties, my understanding is the NRL doesnt have to accept these findings but would be more than foolish to ignore them
If manly have persued it this far and get a positive verdict based in law and todd takes another stance its hard to see manly backing away from such a loss without seeking damages
I dont know what the verdict will be, we may lose but it appears we are fighting the right battle for us and eventually the good of the game. If they NRL , lose a complete overhaul should be mandatory
Much has been said about manlys lack of funding but this is costing a ****load of dollars to clear our name. No doubt we will chest pump if we have a win and **** stir our mates and be as happy as a gf win. We cant have it both ways
Regardless of how the penns are viewed this would be a mighty result for all manly fans for a few reasons
Our name was cleared
We can compete more evenly
We will probably seek damages
And its a f/ u to the NRL and id take that over a top four finish anyday
The penns have shown some balls and taken this battle on, it would have been much cheaper to roll over and accept the punishment if penny pinching is there only agenda
todd will accept the fate as he is a polly. Spending millions of the NRLs money on a sure fire loss will surely sound the death bells and put more powerful clubs in the firing line. Lets hope he is gone before that time but i would love the penns, because its not manly to claim that shiny wankers scalp
Remember manlys result could also lead to an independent audit of all books from all clubs if it gets nasty enough anf no one will want that

Teflon Todd is under fire from all fronts , I sorta think this would be way down the bottom of any of his problems currently.
