[Resurrected] SACK Des Hasler!!

We only won by 1 point on Friday. This is outrageous and unacceptable. All jokes aside I was one of those fans who was supportive of Des’s extension I don’t however feel any need to rub it in the face of other members who felt differently. I am just bloody happy we are winning and happy to celebrate this with all fellow silvertails. GO MANLY.

Im not in the sack Des camp but understand some of the complaints about him , However!
The game with Canberra was extremely frustrating for me SOMEBODY needs to get in the heads of our players , they need to be smarter over all .
1 : Harper gets taken close to the sideline then gets up to try and go , he gets put in to touch
2: Schuster very much the same , clearly there was nowhere to go , throws a wild ball turn over again
3 : This is my biggest gripe from the game of which these are just a few , DCE is hailed for kicking the field goal which in the end wins us the game true .
BUT when we got the kick off back with like 90 seconds left it should have been game over, win by 7 , but no DCE throws a totally un necessary pass to an opposing player they score convert bingo 1 point ball game , thank god they messed up the field goal attempt .
Let me ask you this , if Cooper Cronk or Cameron Smith or JT and others got that ball do they throw a stupid un necessary pass like that and put us in that position ???
For me the answer is a very clear no , they would have run the clock down and won by 7
We need to be a lot smarter in our play it was very disappointing to watch us continually shoot ourselves in the foot.

Retrospective idealisation is always a dangerous practice. Though I cant give you examples, I can assure you Smith, Cronk and JT did some foolish things on the field in their time. But like DCE, they did far more positive things that won games just like DCE does.

Likewise firmly was in the Des camp.
My issue wasn't with members who felt differently, it was the absolute dribble of some calling him a moron, useless prick and the rest of the colourful descriptors. No need to call one of our own those just to make a point.

Anyway Go manly and bring them on Des...
 
I think he should have a clause in his contract that if we don't make the finals he is sacked.

Totally. The positive side of this is that it happened before finals, and didn't end up costing us. So take it as lessons learned (or reminders, they are just basics really).

I agree Storm generally don't beat themselves by basic little errors like these. I really think it is all the basics, plus always being in position, every time, that sets them apart when it comes to consistency. We're on track to play them again in a coupe of of weeks, can't wait!

Aaah - the rubbing it in the face of other posters finger wag was bound to make an appearance. Personally, I'm absolutely loving the Des and Manly turnaround. I'm thrilled by it in fact.

The dementia suffering moron can actually coach - wag away friend.

Nah, as a Manly fan it's just great knowing that the sausage roll eating, numbnut, keyboard warriors have been exposed by the legendary Des Hasler.

The numbnuts and Barrett enthusiasts know who they are. Des has already exposed them better than anyone on here ever could. DESpicable is laughing loudly right now - all the way to the bank.

No doubt that Des made some selection errors in the early rounds. No doubt that these selection errors led to losses. No doubt that Des has made significant changes in response to those selection errors. The changes that he has made will almost certainly bring us a top four position at the end of the regular season. His coaching this season could take us all the way, and in my mind he is already the coach of the year, based on his ability to evolve, unite and inspire the team. It's been an amazing year to be a Manly fan. In Manly We Trust. Go Manly.

Dack Ses Hasler

NRL SuperCoach Des Hasler has defended his tactic of pulling down the pants of rival teams when they least expect it, saying "If you don't want your pants pulled down then tie your drawstring tight, or at the very least wear clean undies."
