yep the club got it right and Dessie has got the team firing....

....and Des made some shocking team selections last year and at the start of this year...

Retrospective idealisation is always a dangerous practice. Though I cant give you examples, I can assure you Smith, Cronk and JT did some foolish things on the field in their time. But like DCE, they did far more positive things that won games just like DCE does.

Im with you on that , DCE does win us games for sure, but that particular play was extremely reckless being paid what he is and being captain he's the one that needs to calm the players on the field , not always easy true but he should never have passed that ball and potentially put us in a golden point situation or loss.

I have had a love hate relationship with the ignore button. However over time, I have worked out that the site loses its entertainment value if you ignore too many of the obvious candidates.

nahhh - so much easier not listening to out and out dribble. We all at times have a view that doesn't gel with the majority. Having a well reasoned position though is one thing. Having tantrums, abusing other people, and actually wanting the club to fail and the team to lose just to justify your view...... that to me is intolerable. Also people who cannot admit their view was wrong - that says a lot about the type of people they are. I have lost count of how many times I have owned up to say my view was wrong - ie my views on not signing Foran and that Schuster should be the 5/8, my views after 4 rounds on getting rid of players and some not being able to play - Croker, Garrick etc etc - all clearly showing I had/have no idea.

For more reasons then one actually. To be fair on me that was usually only a factor in cold weather. But let's not go there again. We are dredging up all sorts of bad juju at the moment. There is a lesson to be learned though. Posting before coffee is a bad idea. 😁

Don't worry @Brisbane Tragic you still have no idea from time to time. That's pretty obvious, but even the best posters get it wrong occasionally. #metoo

I'll admit, while in the throws (that run) of being statistically the second worst defensive team in the history of the game, I was a little rattled. I always knew Des could coach, but boy, some of his team selections frustrated me.

That being said, what can I really say now? We just look lethal, and Des is doing what Des does with middle tier players, and making them play lights out. Schuster in the backrow is killing it. Lawton in the backrow is killing it. Croker (as I always thought he would) is killing it at hooker. Walker is killing it in an I don't know what you'd call his position.

Moral of the story, I think I needed more patience.

I was also in the Trent Barrett would be a great coach camp. Jeez, was I wrong. What a flop !

Lastly, I admit my faults, so be kind to me guys. PLEASE

Y'all know the struggles I'm going through, and to top it all off, I got scammed today to the affect of $2,400 for a kitten from Home - Seaan May Cattery . ** they looked like a legitimate business, sent me pictures, videos, linked on WhatsApp, chatted to him, website was encrypted and secure. My daughter and I were so excited (bought her all the goodies), we were in tears today. How people can steal and rob from kids during this time is SO SAD. Society is ***ed. I've just given up, on absolutely everything. * it all.
