And it’s rumoured he hasn’t been extended.

So it’s definitely time for a @Woodsie poll as to how long Des might last if we have a disaster start to season 23.

At which point would Mr Fluffy get his Walker out ???

However if it’s confirmed that he gets his extension then all bets are off and we could be 1/24 and he’d still be there.

I however sincerely hope we are at least no worse than this year but it appears many sides below us are improving ( just based on signings ) so that remains to be seen.

Des most greatest characteristic that made him a Manly legend was his resilience

It would really be heart-breaking to see a Manly legend bow out as a loser

No way We upgraded aloiai. He was already on 600 k which is far too much for what he has offered up the past two seasons.

Agree 100%, at 600k for Aloiai, is prob 150 to100k overpriced for what we are getting.

More than a couple of wrong'uns.

We should never of signed this coach after he's left last time. Is it co-incidence that every coaching gig he's had has ended up in tears. It happened here after our GF win, then at the dogs and it's happening again here. Maybe it time our hierachy looks for a coach as a back up, so if he goes rogue again piss him off even if we have to pay him out and get him the **** out of our club.

Also it's time for the board to wake up to themselves and unify so we can have some stability at the club for a change instead of having these conversations every off season.

If they don't and this keeps going on we'll lose players and might take a hell of a long time to recover.

Given the limited number of players actually available that would make difference to any given side at any given point its easier and sometimes more beneficial to 're-sign' players already in the system that have possible potential than go and 'sign' new players.

So yes Des did re-sign a number of players that were already in the manly system.

That'll do me ... I have heard murders justify their crimes ... but that is the greatest piece of self-satisfying dribble I have every read ...

Mate, I think we will have a pretty good start to next season ... my fear is that Tom and a few wins covers up the cracks again ... until the next drama ..

I reckon the cracks are too big to wall paper over. The cracks need to be filled. In the absence of significant change we won't win many games next year as we are already mile behind he top sides and losing pace with the bottom half of the top 8. In the absence of big changes I cannot see Des here beyond 2023.
