There are a lot of unsigned players from numerous club ATM. There is also uncertainty around what the salary cap will be at going forward. I don't think that's a coincidence.
Expect a flurry of announcements from all clubs once the season's finished, and the cap for next year is 100% known.
Expect more once November rolls around - for signings from the start of 2024 onward.
My real concern is how Manly is going to attract the better (available) talent, when our (a) finish this year/ rumored internal strife is factored in, (b) the cost of living on the northern beaches is factored in (yeah, I know it's also a plus to live there), (c) our facilities are compared with others, and (d) overcoming other competitive advantages other teams might be perceived to have.
Player agents (an increasing blight on the game) may also be unfavorably disposed to us verses 'well-connected' teams (think Melbourne, Roosters, Souffs). Lots of behind the scenes things going on, no doubt.
