I’m never one to bash our own players or coach.
I respect that other people have strong opinions on team selections and the players market, but I’m starting to think that Barret has made a few mistakes this season with game plans.
It might not be time to sack Barrett but we have to do something as tonight has proved we have very talented players in our side.
With DCE , the T brothers, Marty and Dylan we have 5 superstars. AFB and Kelly have a lot of potential and Joel Thompson is an old head that should be doing the club great things. But as we know we are sitting very low and don’t look very sharp in attack.
Something is wrong and it could be Barrett, it could be Cartwright, it could just be bad luck and the fact that we haven’t fielded the same team for more than s game this whole season.

This forum is not about bashing anyone . Personalities aside I dont give a fck who they are as long as they contribute to make our Manly team great .
This forum is all about expressing our strong views as passionate Manly supporters This is not a Koala protected species forum . This is the Silvertails forum where passions run wild and for Many , Manly does not stand for mediocre as expectations are rightly high and no mediocre player or coach has a right to tarnish the great Manly club reputation
One thing we agree on is that our Manly roster is badly underachieving and our coaching staff are not Koalas and they are accountable
Trying to play DCE of both sides of the ruck to compensate for an inexperienced five eight for the first eight rounds was dumb dumb and dumber. Kevin Walter's game plan and use of DCE last night proved it. No negative kicks into touch on the last tackle, early ball to outside backs in space, short kicks into goal resulting in repeat sets, playing one side of the ruck whilst Munster played the other. It's not rocket science. Then compound it with poor use of the bench during the earlier part of the of the season and team selections. I cannot believe that we are wasting a talent like Tom Wright in Reggies. The coach makes the game plan and picks the team so the buck stops with him. 5 wins from 16 starts is unacceptable in a results driven business. No more excuses get somebody who can do the job.

I'm as disappointed as anyone with our results this year. I also believe Tooves should never have been sacked. However, I'm sick of posters blaming Twenty for every problem Manly has. He even gets blamed when he's not involved in an outcome, such as the SOO. Somehow, because our Manly trio had sterling matches he's to blame for them not performing to that high degree for Manly. Wow; that really is twisted logic.

Likewise Mary McGregor and Anthony Seebold, do they get blamed for Sims and Crighton costing NSW a win?
I think many of you are overstating the importance of a coach and understating the fact that all sportspeople have fluctuating performances. You overstate the importance of a 'game plan', or to use the correct terminology 'tactics'. What looks good on a blackboard does not always equate to success on any sporting field. It is up to players to win matches . . or do you think the 'game plans' of Qld and NSW included taking intercept tries and running 100 metres to score untouched?

People like you that think this way make coaches like Peter Sharp look so Good .
With your way of thinking we can blame every one accept the coaching staff for a teams under performing season.
We can blame everyone from players , ball boys, journalists and supporters .
You have just about convinced me and some others on here that Peter Sharp was not a bad coach after all ..... 😉

No. Ultimately the coach takes the fall in RL. But many times the players have let him down, not the other way around.
I think, come the end of the season, if Twenty hasn't got his players playing with passion then it is time to look for a new coach. But I don't blame him completely for our failures this season.

I agree with that. Something is very wrong and unfortunately although he might be a good bloke, he's the one in charge and the buck stops with him. He's had a chance and the club is no better off from his first season in 2016 than where we are now. Time for a change and a new direction. This one ain't working.
Nothing personal here . Trent by all accounts is a great fellow . All passionate supporters want is great results . Winning is everything !!!

Yes, by this stage they all know how to play footy so probably the biggest part of a coach's job is to bind the team and Bazo has shown he is not capable. 3 years now, more than enough proof i'm afraid.

Agree . What makes the Silvertails forum great is all the unique and wonderful personalities on here that give their own view and every view has its merits which makes for interesting debate .
