Fans and coaches complain about teams getting away with too much or not penalised, then it's due to too much nitpicking as a result of the previous three decades of ignoring most infringements for the betterment/spectacle of the "greatest game of all, or for the "great product".
Then you have fans who just "want changes" to the squad to offer false hope in the short term a few months back (as in wanting youngsters elevated way too early in their development just for the sake of change) and you get inconsistent not good enough NYC performances.
In saying that this lethargic, predictable, slow, one out distribution from dummy half in our go forward sets that loses interest when the going gets tough aka "not weathering the grind of fresh defensive intensity and coming through the other side" is not good enough. Defensive intensity is poor which goes without saying.
If Manly don't enjoy success inside the first 10-15mins be it with a consistent rolling go forward or score a few tries we lack the mental toughness and science behind our game to stay competitive in the grind or break the grind to come out on top.
