Must admit, it's been a bit of a 'fall from grace' for Jake in the ST mvp competition.

He's usually right up there with Tom.

Yes so noticeable that for once Jake doesn't feature. Hopefully he is fully recovered and will build up to top form before the finals.

He's usually right up there with Tom.

5 out of the 10 players between Tom and Jake were not playing FG here before this year and another 3 have improved out of sight. It is more a testament to how well our recruits have played and how far our juniors have come, than to Jake's poor performances...although he has definitely not been at his best.

Also a reflection of new shiny things. Jake suffers from being incredibly consistent and reliable without the flashy wow moments. Wouldn't swap him for any other middle forward.
