Raiders v Sea eagles [Round 12, 2018] - Team Lists & Pre Game discussion

This annoys me. We are paying a guy good coin to play for blacktown who can play hooker and is a better hooker than my idol the great Lewis Brown.

Barrett has to eat some humble pie and play Hastings at hooker there’s no other sane option if that young kid from last years 20s isn’t allowed to play.

Stop talking common sense. It won't happen.

Pretty sure ur thinking Lussick not hastings
Just recall that Green was a late withdrawal and API was also out and Trent went initially with Cullen at 6 and Hastings at 9 . Joey Lussick came into the game after some time and with Darcy sin binned early in the second half , was still on the field when Manly then went on that points scoring spree also just after half time but then faded again to let the Dragons run away with the match .

On a side note... watching the replay again this morning, Frankenstein stands out as playing a more dynamic role than I remember him having in the past. Picked up that ball and made a one-handed offload to Tom to make that long run and nearly score, and also provided a good one-hander for Suli's try. Good vision, great ball skills.
Plus he was right in there standing over the Melbourne players when the brawl was on, and made damn sure the guys he was holding didn't get their arms free.
Top marks, Frank.

Yeah noticed that in the brawl, he had about three storm players corralled away from the fight.

You'll find that our second rowers have been getting a lot more ball this year, hence their increased work rate. Last year Frank would run a lot of decoys but been Green would rarely use him.

He also made a good try saver tackle right on our line - I think it was NAS on the burst. Good to see him doing a bit of ball playing. Maybe he feels more at home on the right than the left - clearly a Liberal voter from his Rugby days

Yes, great to see Winterstein stepping up when it really counts. He does have great hands, always has. Maybe now with his confidence up a bit, and his determination to remain in the 17 we will see more of his true potential in the coming weeks.

No Junior Paulo, Josh Papalii and Joesph Tapine means that the Manly pack will most probably be up against a Raiders pack as
8. I. Soliola
9. S. Havilu
10. C. Gubb
11. D. Lui
12. E. Whitehead
13. L. Bateman

14. S. Boyd
15. L. Knight
16.?
17. M. Hingano

If we can't get it over this mob, it'll be embarrassing!

Whilst he was charged I don’t believe Papalii was suspended mate, so will be there this week, but even still we should more than match their forwards.

Where’d you hear that Papalii is out?

Time for a win based on simple guts and hold the ball. Outlast them in an 80 minute slugfest. Remember they are also still missing their top hooker.
Good point . We have shown we are tough enough to out last and grind teams out . The key here is minimizing our errors to give our selves a chance .
