Raiders v Sea eagles [Round 12, 2018] - Team Lists & Pre Game discussion

Disagree. Api is a better player but even his most ardent admirers would accept his passing is hardly his strength.

His strength is tough defence and individual darts around the ruck, not organisation.

For all the rubbish he cops Brown is an experienced campaigner and if he keeps it simple and we keep it simple we can win.

Walker is a far bigger loss. He gets this side up for the occasion. Hope it’s not six weeks out as that may cost us a finals berth.

I think our ****house form earlier in the season will cost us a finals berth more likely

We wont win without api, he is such a key player for us in such a key position.

Two things you need to do well as a hooker, pass well and intelligently and tackle well. Brown cannot do either of these and will most certainly take more wrong options than right options.

I think we’ll find that his defence in the middle third is better than his defence playing out wide, where he is exposed by actual centres running at him.

Brown will be fine, he is certainly better than some of the other suggestions I read here the last couple of days. If he makes his tackles then he won't be the reason we lose.

Apart from any issue of preferred wing .... stepping off a preferred foot etc .... one of the reasons I believe Uate was switched is because with late afternoon games he has a perceived greater issue with the ball being lost in the sun than others .... his shocker at Brookie was looking directly up into the sun ....

Right wing is still his preferred wing ... but with this game being played at 6pm ... the sun is an issue again ... but Jorge prefers the right wing ... I mean left ...

Who knows ... I got nothing ....
Hahaha Woodsie old mate... the sun at 6pm isn’t going to pose too many problems. Are you missing the warm weather and daylight savings mate?

Api makes 40+ tackles a game and poo makes 20 ? That's 20 + extra tackles covered by our forwards, probably our front row ,the net effect is our forwards will be rotated earlier.
I'm sure it's Api's work rate and stamina that enables our big men to stay on the field longer.
Another big plus with Api is he alway reacts defensively quicker out of marker defence.
If Poo doesn't replicate Api's work rate in these areas it could end up looking disorganised,
I don't think Poo is very fit ,but I hope I'm wrong because we need to keep winning, overall Poo needs to show more urgency in attack as well as defence.
The only thing that lets Api down is his passing from left to right, even his natural right to left looks awkward. ( Damien Ccok's passing game is next level
If poo can pass out of dummy half quicker then Api that would help, but don't give him much hope of going 40/60 tops.

If Manly held out the 2 best wingers and best fullback without Api and Walks last round, then it shows how adaptable we have become :wait:

Nobody focused on anything but winning to the 80th minute try

Manly is mature enough to construct tries with 11 players and defend their tryline.

Those trysavers in the 64th minute by Chez with Frankie (Asofa) and Akilla with Kels ( Chambers) were awesome

I think Poo is going to be sent out there on Friday with instructions to keep it simple. Just pass as needed, tackle as needed and run only if needed.

I can still see us winning this one and winning it well.
