Hey all, did you see the photo and article on NRL site about Marty. Did anyone else notice TT in the background training and running with the team. Maybe TT is more advanced than we knew?

He's back running but not at full pace or match fit. Hasn't been named in the 21 so definite no starter this week. Maybe against Storm if we manage to jag one here.

Hi Mick, wasn't suggesting that as that would be a crazy thing to do. When clubs say 2 weeks most times it's 4. When Des said about 2 weeks away I was thing Yeah we going to rush him back for him to do it again and have no off season as he would be doing rehab again....

Obviously Schuster and Hoppa aren't in Des plans for this year at all. One questions why not when we are so utterly desperate for some speed and skill in the backline. Watch us go into this carrying injured players who shouldn't be out there AFB, Taupau, Sironen, Thompson, Cust, Suli, Parker. It'll take a miracle to get even within 20. Add the usual refereeing and bunker fukups.

No late mail but when walker was named 21 he played the Penrith game.

I think if by 740 tomorrow night when squad is cut and if AFB is still in there he will play.

I guess Des & the team are still optimistic, believing if they can win the next couple of games and then continue the winning run when Turbo returns, they can scrape into the finals and be competitive like last year. This optimism could stem from having beaten three of the top five teams this year. 'Where there is hope, there is life' and 'where there is a will, there is a way' - however, this pipe dream will be well & truly shattered if we don't win on Saturday.

If Manly can produce the 60 quality minutes from last week for 80m....very good chance of a Win....that other 20, well in that patch Souths will score 4-5 tries.
I reckon Biff is also correct(based on current form), Reynolds is in better form snd absolutely petrified his kicking game will be the difference unless we can win field position and they get up with pressure on the kicker....a little more protection for the back 3 without giving away penalties (which is likely with these nutters they give whistle) could also help a fair bit.
Manly are great value and will win the middle, usually enough to win a game of footy.....they simply have FAR more firepower out wide and will be more dangerous in this area....play down their half please.

I saw that and thought the same thing, Souths aren’t world beaters and were extremely lucky to get over the Cowboys last week.

The difference will be if Addin plays. With the form of Taniela and Sean last week and with Marty back, if he plays the forward pack is looking solid.

I think he will play
Same as when walker played named 21 then played that week.
AFB would be a massive inclusion for us.
