When was the last time you spotted Cade Cust on our right edge ?? That side is DCE's sole domain, he runs the right side attack - no point trying to blame Cust for lack of options or lack of tries down that edge. That's like trying to blame Parker for Suli not getting the ball on the old inside / outside centre formation.

Spot on with DCE on the right, the one time I seen Cust on the right side he put Guaca over against the warriors.

Our pack is miles better than theres. With or without AFB. Although AFB would be huuuge, our best forward no doubt.

Garrick really isn’t that bad at fullback as everyone makes out IMO... he was good in that second game at the back he had earlier in the season. Last week he had no training there and isn’t used to it... will improve this week.

Was just hoping for no Jorge, oh well. Hopefully AFB in for Waddell if Des has any brains.

Still think this is a game we win. Souths pack sucks quite frankly... Reynolds will have a field day though, arguably the best kicker in the game.

Agree re the pack but not re Garrick at fullback. Fb is arguably the hardest gig on the field. You have to be very good at both sides of the game. Defensively is where Garrick falls down - and that’s not his fault, he just doesn’t know the game from back there. Elliot had many a flaw but he knew where to be and was mostly in position to defuse situations.. In saying that I reckon he’s due for a good game and sat night could be the night. I predict a similar score.

This is going to be a really hard game. I am terrified with the back 3 of Funa, Garrick and Tafua. Garrick and Funa are poor defenders, and Tafua and Funa are terrible under the high ball. On top of that you have Garrick who is lost when it comes to positioning at fullback.

Reynolds will pick at these guys all night.

This game has to be won in the forwards, and significantly. Field position and possession will win this. Manly can score points with good possession as shown on Sunday, but they are weak on the edges and under the high ball when defending.

I have lowered my expectations to be prepared for anything this year, but I do know this team is full of desire to win because they know they belong in the finals once Too Latte Tommy and AFB are back.

A lot of desire like we saw on Sunday, and sticking to Dessie games plan gives Manly the only chance to win.

hopefully Parker and Funa swap late. Would be a good trick by Des. I know Parker gets blasted on here as a winger but he is one of our best at staying calm under the high ball and defusing the situation... not that its hard.

We basically have one winger were when the opposition kicks it too we don't go 'ah s**t'... and thats garrick, whose at the back now.

2 tries scored down Taufua's wing. Fortunately Jaxson Paulo is pretty poor so not the worst of threats.

I have lowered my expectations to be prepared for anything this year, but I do know this team is full of desire to win because they know they belong in the finals once Too Latte Tommy and AFB are back.

I guess Des & the team are still optimistic, believing if they can win the next couple of games and then continue the winning run when Turbo returns, they can scrape into the finals and be competitive like last year. This optimism could stem from having beaten three of the top five teams this year. 'Where there is hope, there is life' and 'where there is a will, there is a way' - however, this pipe dream will be well & truly shattered if we don't win on Saturday.
