Them / They
I'd change the side that's winning as little as possible.

Des doesn’t think this way. He prob didn’t give time to Suli because the situation didn’t arise/allow. If there are niggling injuries in the backs Tgat he’s aware of carrying a back on the bench is a strategy Des uses. I watched a Kayo mini yesterday of us v cows in 2019 and Elliot was on the bench with FainuIf there was ever a sign that a player is surplus to requirements it was Suli not being used at all. He will be first dropped from the 17. Saddler is 2nd inline to be dropped, after playing token minutes and getting hooked pretty quickly. Marty replacing Suli will be the only change IMO. Siro for Saddler in round 11.
Again I 100% agree with that and I too am a fan and have wanted him in the side especially during last years poor run.I think that it has been clear that Tof has had something to offer since the games he played in 2019 yet Des resisted playing him last year - even when we lost 11 of our last 12 games...
I love what he has bought and I have wanted him back in our side for a long time... I am just not sure Des feels the same....
Agree, agree and agree bud... I get why Des was reluctant to bring Suli and Cust on towards the end of the Warriors game but with the short turn around I am concerned that it might play against us this week...Again I 100% agree with that and I too am a fan and have wanted him in the side especially during last years poor run.
As for Des, surely he has to put aside any personal issues and put the team first and clearly Sips brings more to our game and is a must, I’m pretty sure he’ll play because as I said before with Josh out it would be stupidity to not play the big fella.
I know we won on the weekend but the use of our bench was a hard one to understand, its a 17 man game these days, he didn’t use Suli, so why include him, it’s hard to just pick a player as cover and make the others do extra, Des does what Des does but I‘m pretty sure he can‘t leave Sips out, wouldn’t make sense, we need him and what he brings to our middle, we will loose a huge part of our go forward and middle advantage if his not there.
I only think he did it last week because we were so low on forward stocks. He usually uses the whole bench. Its a 17 man game and sitting guys in the bench and burning out the other 15 players is park football mentally. If a player is not up to the task in the Coach's mind he shouldn't be in the 17.
Sadly many footballers are so far up themselves they don’t give a **** about kids.Bit off topic but thought I’d give an update anyway. Broncs did a coaching clinic with my sons footy club yesterday and most all were there except Lodge and Haas and obviously Carrigan. Not sure what to make of the two props not being there. Anyway some of the body language from those guys was really interesting I thought. Sone were fantastic with the kids and really enjoyed being out there at the clinic. In particular Xavier Coates, issako and Tyson Gamble. They were running around as energetic as the kids were. Coates in particular had the biggest smile on his face and was engaging everyone - even when a group of under 10s started chanting traitor!!! He just laughed it off! Flegler, and Glenn very good as well. You can see why Glenn is the capt. He engaged my eldest in a conversation about his footy - even with the lad wearing full manly kit! Was interesting to see sone of the players who looked a bit disinterested Milf, Croft, bullemor had no idea how to interact with the kids. Maybe it’s cos Tgey don’t have much experience with young ones and milf looks a bit shy.
Couple of snippets here from my eldest to the players:
LC(that’s my boy) to Issako
Lc: are you going to be able to stop Tommy turbo after what he did to the warriors?
JI: no way!
Lol
LC to Coates
LC: do you think you’re as fast as Jason Saab?
Coates: Naaa followed by cracking up laughing.
Kid also asked Stagg when he was coming back and he said like 6 weeks.
Kids had a great time even tho I have a manly supporter and Storm supporter. It’s great they can see these guys in person and interact with them. Would have been great to see the manly players but not sure if they are doing a public appearance.

Yeah I’m careful not to be too harsh mark and to be fair I didn’t see too much of the guys I’d mentioned in the drills as they were on another field. It was more from what I observed at the signing. But yeah it looked like sone couldn’t get out of there quick enough. Coates and Glenn were last to leave and it appeared Coates wanted to accommodate every photo and autograph. What a great guy. The nrl guys were trying to usher him away saying they had to leave but Coates was just ignoring them and kept signing. Bellamy in 360 last night was talking about The Coates signing and said that he’d not met a young man who was more respectful or a better person at that age (or words to that affect). Couldn’t argue with what I observed yesterday. God knows how the Broncos have lost this guy, Reece Walsh and kept Lodge n co. Fair go.Sadly many footballers are so far up themselves they don’t give a **** about kids.
They must have forgotten they were kids with stars in their eyes once !!

Nailed it... those kind of guys do wonders for the image of the club...Bellamy in 360 last night was talking about The Coates signing and said that he’d not met a young man who was more respectful or a better person at that age (or words to that affect). He put Cust on for a second rower and kept TNI on the field.Des doesn’t think this way. He prob didn’t give time to Suli because the situation didn’t arise/allow. Probably right there but certainly hope that Suli can get a run against the Broncos somewhere . think that he can still make an impact if used properlyWhat role will Suli play?
Must have had a niggle still last week and Des decided to not risk him.
