Well went to 40th last night. Mate of mine work colleague good friend with chad randall.
Neil henry signed that will ****ing do me. Place is ****ed, ontop of that dylan walker and martin tapau will leave at seasons end.
So disillusioned with the clowns, the fat mouth piece saying they won't pay good money for coach.
I hope none of what i mentioned will come true.
Don't get how Tapau and Walker can leave mid contract

Henry may have learnt since his last term as a first grade coach.

Remember that Hayne destroyed Team morale and Henry was shafted by the Titans for Hayne to then quit.😎

The Henry & Carty show is too mundane.
Henry & a creative assisstant coach could work

Still don't know what Carty contributes to keep his contract rolling over 😕

Nothing. And that's the attraction to the people running the club [into the ground]. He is invisible. There is no criticism or waves being made by him in the media, towards management

I was speaking to one of the Directors at the game who made the comment 'well he is only part time'.
I was speechless and felt Baz's angst even more :fubar:

Really am confused by what the Owners have planned for our future :tmi:

Yeah mate got no more info with tapau and walker hoping its bull

Yeap agree that will end us as manly. The end game is to get the massive government dollars in nz or perth to relocate.
What “massive government dollars”? That is a furphy.

They are already very wealthy. I think it is silly to say that a little relocation money is the end game.

The whole Perth rumour that pervades this site is frankly ridiculous.

If the owners are guilty of anything, it is not spending enough time managing the sea eagles properly, it seems to be their hobby rather than a serious thing. But I don’t believe for a second that their evil plan is to move the team. The relocation dollars are chicken feed to them.

Have heard mixed reports on this... hoping someone can confirm.... do the Penns and Des still have a good relationship?

Was there fallout betweenb them after the bulldogs saga or not?? (I know that before then they had a great relationship)

Also the Penns are the ones who fired Tooves and unfortunately i don't see them re-hiring him as they would be too stubborn surely!
The penns and Des are still ok. It was the co owners that forced des out. This info comes from a player at the club at the time

Idea.
1. Why doesn't a clever Silvertails wordsmith type a letter to Gorman and the Penns stating the need for the fans to see Toovey back at the club in some capacity. Memberships would rise. A lot of harmony would be restored. It's just good PR in a club that's all but losing it's gritty identity.
2. Every Silvertails member sends the exact same email to Lyall.
People power. It's worth a go.
Agree. Our supporters love ex manly players. Guarantee sponsorship and membership would increase which creates $$$ i dont get why they dont see this

As someone said in another thread that the Penn's don't care about their members as they are the least of their problems.

It's like they don't care, as long as they fulfil their end of the deal of the licence then that's enough.

I think Des is probably the favourite.

I think even Zorba (who loves Des, despite the latter criticising Zorb in the past) realised that the outsider as coach was again a dud move.

And if Des comes back, watch for Donny to come back - not necessarily with Ferris leaving straight up, but Dan realising he should pack his bags and check into a Penn Health weight loss clinic.😉

I’d love this to happen but I think it’s next to no chance of happening.

Des loves money and the Penns won’t spend it.

For me, there is only one option - Des Hasler

I came up to the game on Friday all the way from Melbourne and well while I wasn't happy at full time I enjoyed the experience of being at Lottoland ( brookie) for the first time in 26 years.

Des? I was at the Collaroy Beach Services club on Saturday lunchtime thinking how good is this ( virtual snowing here in Melb ATM) and I was thinking Des - he lives I think a few doors down - and thinking if he strolled past I'd just plead with the bloke to come and fix the club I've been supporting for 40 plus years.

I think Des would do it for less money. Back when he started at Manly he was on a relatively low salary, so that the Club could spend more money on other staff.

Besides, after his C-B experience he looks like he has lost some of his appeal to other prospective employers.

And he just got a 1M+ settlement from the Dogs.
I think he would do it for a lot less too.

I think he lives in the Collaroy Basin...Long Reef really. Agree with your sentiment.

The TB experiment has died. Last thing we need now is more rookie coaches. I like what the walker brothers are found up north but we just arnt in a position to roll the dice again.

Henry no thanks. Just not a good enough record.

Des was called a traitorous c##t on here earlier in the thread. One of the most successful coaches we ever had that left because if the top office and it's total incompetence... Do any on here really think he would have jumped ship if we went such a fu@K SHOP at the top? I doubt he would come back anyway but if there was ever a chance to cement a legacy it would be to come back and make this team a winner again. If that did happen then it would be job done for the guy... love or hate him has bled for this club and knows what its about.
Hasler jumped ship because he knew what we were heading for with his multiple backended contracts, he took the same philosophy to the dogs and look what happened to them, I for one don't want him back

I will make my stand right now after 50 years of playing and supporting. If none of Madge, Tim Sheens, Tooves, Des or some ex Manly guy is coaching us i'm done.

I have to draw the line somewhere and it's been enough for me.

Didn't he accept a huge offer from the Dogs after we would not extend his contract?
I don't remember it that way but that's certainly not to say you're wrong after all I'm an old man now and my grey cells aren't what they once were, all I really remember is that Greenberg **** parading him like a group one winner and big noting about his coup, thinking of it fries my brain, no wonder I don't remember the fine print, lol
