Don’t dismiss criticism against a female as sexist. People are entitled to criticise her just like we would and do, a male ref. She made a couple of howlers last night including two head high penalties that were challenged and overruled by the bunker CORRECTLY! So no, she wasn’t blameless and it wasn’t a good performance. And we’re entitled to say so whether she’s female or not. Having said that, much of the confusion the refs have with what is a penalty, what is a sin bin, what’s play on etc has been created by the NRL and their policies.

You’re right, and @Brookie1973 i agree she made some dud calls. The hip and some of the head highs.

But she wasn’t responsible for the sin bins including/ the non sin bin decisions, the 40:20.

And she wasn’t looking at her manicured nails when she held up the 10 fingers. That is the type of comment I regarded as sexist, and was perplexed that people thought she had any say in the sin bins including/ non sin bins.

Roy Masters is commending the refereeing of this game. Are you kidding? Retire old mate.

There were four successful challenges, and the head high calls were so bad that they had to overrule precedent of not being able to challenge them. I cannot see how anyone can commend the bunker or the on-field ref yesterday. The game (for both sides) was held in the balance by poor refereeing. Without it, it would've been an absolutely fantastic game.

I don’t understand how they can go back a set of six for a high tackle and sin bin but they couldn’t over rule the non 40/20 from Cleary when they knew it was a wrong call before play recommenced!

Best chant in the game. And it always starts organically, not like the piped in PA chants that most other grounds have. I swear the “Parra” chant is from a tape made in the 1980s.

Simpkin at 9 was great. He’s a keeper. Bull always good. Ben T gradually getting better. TKO was immense. What the f was that sin bin? Sigh..Jazz was good. Navale shows promise. DCE good with the occasional WTF s …Good to see Tommy Talau again. Side seems stronger with him. Roobs good. Lehi too. Koula has his moments. Ola best forward since the Beaver. Fantastic! Tom T is a winner. As someone else said, it’s his team now.

Was a bit disappointed that Navale only got about ten minutes. More game time would have assisted his experience level to the team's benefit.
