I would have thought obvious that i was referring to the club officials/ legal staff not letting it go. I think YOU expect too much from the players since you drew that conclusion. No one will remember? Youre full of big statements LOL. Just go back in this thread alone to all the bad calls from years gone by that get brought up. None get forgotten and neither will this.

Far be it to call myself qualified but i just call it as i see it. This decision has been vastly different in the way it’s played out than any call i can recall that could make a case for a result being overturned.

It's exactly like the Storm v Raiders final when the touch judge made a complete balls up and cost the Storm.

Touch Judges a fkn useless. Yet there a re all these cameras, captains challenges and what not and the NRL put the result of a game in some useless muppets hands instead of using all the resources available to get the right outcome.

Fkn amateur hour.

Instead of being 3 and 1 now 2 and 2 .... will cost us at the end.

The prerequisites to being a touch judge in the first place ,for the decades I have been involved in the game , have always been

-long friendless years at school leading to a chip on shoulder outlook on life

-inability to participate in the actual game from a young age due to frailty or outright incompetence

-social insecurity , timidity and very little involvement with the fairer sex and

-tendency towards wearing high pants and long socks in a social setting.

Yet we allow them to overrule 4k digital replays.
If it wasn’t so ridiculous it would be funny.

Really, the ****ing bunker should have the power to over rule such a blatant error. If there was doubt over any parra defenders pulling out because they were aware of the ruling well then this still doesn't mean that Garrick would not have scored, making it at least a 50/50 chance of try or try saving defence. This is when both teams should be given a point each and the touch judge demoted to Reserve grade for at least 4 weeks to determine if he needs contact lenses, eye surgery or just a good old fashioned career change. The first thing these people should be focusing on is the hands and ball and direction, not contact and cardboard cut outs in the crowd. The touch judge only assumed and should have butted the **** out if he wasn't viewing the complete picture.

Interesting fact.....

The linesman from last night (Liam Kennedy) who made the forward pass call was the very same linesman who got dropped (along with the ref) for not calling an escort that cost us a chance at a win over St Merge at Wollongong in 2019.

Seems to be a pattern developing with this guy screwing us over.

Depends, this was a very unique set of circumstances. There has never been a game i can recall that could make a case to be overturned as this one. Normally there is always a hail mary chance a team could have scored again or the call deemed 50/50. This wasnt 50/50 according to the NRL and it was the last play of the game.

Remember that game at brookie about 5 years ago where the eels beat us by one try and their winger made a break and passed the ball approx 10m forward and actually out of the hands forward....but they were still given a try.....

Exact same thing happened in 2005 ish. Remember watching it in London with a parra supporter. NFL stuff, and it won them the game in similar circumstances

Unfortunately its a bit harder for us than others. Our players are called off in tackles sometimes before they are even completed, meanwhile our opponents are allowed to lay all over us. It makes it very hard to go forward.

We have to learn to play with Manly loading from refs, simple as that. For the last 20 years we have copped the rough end. I can’t see it changing.

It didn't work even taking it to court. As much as I would love to see last night's result overturned, its simply not going to happen. You'd have more chance of getting Trump to publicly admit he was wrong about something.

But my tin foil hat is getting lots of reception.
Queensland's gone into meltdown about the donkeys. If they don't win next week by whatever means the masses will be storming the headquarters.
I'm tipping 25 silent six agains to the horsies in the first half, followed by Tom Turbo being sent off for being tall and then 2 penalty tries.
Normal existence will then resume in Queensland followed by the feel good story of Gorden Tallis and Matt Lodge getting married, with Bob Katter as the celebrant.
Really, nothing would surprise me.

Not crazy at all, the suggestion that there would be a similar case that would go to court every week is crazy.

The set of circumstances here are quite unique and no matter what each set of fans opinion here is, ultimately the NRLs own interpretation is what always counts like it or not, and they have come out and said it was a clear error NOT a 50/50 or line ball.

The only other time this same situation is likely to occur is in golden point, then yes if a team gets dudded ,with addmitace of error by the NRL, and the other team goes on to win, the dudded team has a case since it would have been the last play at the dud call. This to happen in regular play is super unlikely, but it happened to us.
