We have yet to get the spoon, or 13 of them .....in a row. Rock bottom is still a long way away
Trent started as a NRL coach in 2016
He has had 2 full years experience so I would still consider him a rookie coach .
I would not consider him as an experienced coach .
I was wondering when this type of rallying call post would appear......the fact is we are toast this year. better to accept it, sack Barrett as a failed endeavour and start over. the saga(s) of the past few weeks indicate to me a far deeper malaise within the club than is being revealed - there's too many conflicting storylines and too many clear factions within the playing group which is death in a team environment not to mention the "pranking" sorry I mean bullying. the club created this mess - there is nobody else to blame so then the club needs to take it's medicine, and make key changes where needed. There is a positive out of every situation
The bad news is that we have hit rock bottom with drama off field and loss of form and players on it .
The good news is that after hitting rock bottom there is no other way but to go up .
Rock bottom is our final awakening
Our Coach Trent is a rookie coach and there is no education like adversity
Our roster is down but we do have enough quality elite players around that can lift the whole team
Adversity coupled with necessity gives rise to new found energy and innovation
Roosters be ware . You are playing a new Manly team this week and you wont know what hit you.
Go the mighty Sea eagles !!!

You know, I thought we'd hit rock bottom in 2016 and we were supposed to be on the rise this year? We've really dropped back and this is shaping up as worse than 2016.Well most are disagreeing with @BOZO but I’m not, I think he might be right.
I mentioned in another thread ( and got a number of disagree’s) but I said “ we’ve never win the spoon and won’t this year”.
Oh sure, top 4 or even top 8 is a long shot , in fact a very long shot BUT I’m damned sure those 20 players left don’t want to never be able to sing the victory song again in 2018.
And I’m damned sure those 20 players left don’t want to get smacked around the park for every game for the rest of the year.
What will happen ( and I don’t exactly know when) is we’ll click, and when we do we will surprise the **** out of the other team who will expect us to be easybeats.
AND
Just one win will see some confidence return!
I’m not sure when but it will happen!!

Mate we are still digging, these next 4 weeks could get ugly.Loss of games , Loss of players . Loss off form . Drama off the field . That is low enough for me .

I hope not mate as it is pretty ugly as it is right now .Mate we are still digging, these next 4 weeks could get ugly.

I don't think that 2 and 1/3 seasons makes an experienced coach .2 1/3 seasons of first grade is your definition of rookie?
You know you can't just rewrite definitions to suit your narrative?
I don't think that 2 and 1/3 seasons makes an experienced coach .
We will agree to disagree
In that case I was wrong because rookie to me means an inexperienced coach still learning"Experienced" is completely arbitrary.
Rookie means first season.
There's no agreeing to disagree on that.

They have won 2 games also and still have a sh1tload of players to chose from.Manly always rise above any adversity and this is no different, we will bounce back . Parramatta can have the ****ing spoon.
