I think we should buy Ryan Hoffman and Alex Glenn to give our back row a bit of starch. Although Hoffman is old he is a great leader and would help guys like Sirro and Jake to mature then go for coen hess at end of 2018. We can't keep buying youth without having old heads to balance out the mental side of footy. Hoffman has a year or 2 left in him. I know I will get howled down for this but bring back Matty Ballin at seasons end for 1 year he is a proven match winner and should be fresh as a daisy after not playing for 2 years at no cost to us, keep Api as a backup till his contract is up and then go hard for a genuine match winning hooker at the end of 2018 Granville would be a great buy but Josh Hodgson, Cameron McIness and Jake Friend are all off contract, so is Isaac Luke although I can't stand him. .

As much as I love Jake's game and passion, I think the reactions you alluded to are confirmation that we made the right choice over the captaincy. DCE has plenty to learn in that captaincy role, but he already excels at emotional intelligence in dealing with adversity. We may not like it as fans, wanting somebody to voice our own frustrations, but it's not what is required for the team moving forward.

Some may not have liked it, but the reality is that Jake wears his Manly heart on his sleeve too much to be an effective captain. Cherry is less prone to losing his cool when talking to the refs.

Hopefully yesterday's display debunked this rubbish that siro and winterstein somehow add to our structure in defense. Next year I'd have billy and another buy as our backrowers. Shame there isn't much on the market

Agree. But these days you don't have to worry whether they're on the market or not. If you've got the cash it's open slather. I agree with @Soaring eagle ..Coen Hess would be perfect.

After last nights performance, I reckon we should try to sign coen hess. He's an absolute god, runs as hard as he can. Would be great in replace of either winterstein or siro.

He's a legit target with Tamalolo signing that wopper of a contract and JT Morgan taking up a lot of cap. Granville wouldn't be cheap either. They couldnt keep Ponga so funds must be tight for them. And they re signed Matt Scott. Think he's signed until the end of 2018 but yeah, he's the type of bloke who wins matches on indivdual efforts. Only 20 too. Imagine how good he is going to be when he's 25.. Pay overs for him !!

Good post and I agree with it all. Granville would be a great pick up... Coen Hess should be our main target. I would have been very happy with De Belin but has just re signed

Lets not forget that both luke lewis and gavin cooper are off contract at season's end. Either player would shore up our back row very nicely.
