Open letter to Twent Barrett

I do wish this would end!! We are talking so much about ourselves as a club, when we should be focusing on working hard to turn this all around. The damage is done, the penalties have been issued, the peace pipe has been smoked, now go out there and do your jobs team!!

Sadly I don’t think they get it mate , as much as I reckon it’s a stitch up I still wonder if just accepting a penalty and moving on wouldn’t have been better.

The NRL, and the media won’t be happy until we don’t win another game all year, run dead last and can’t field a team in 2019 because no player will come near the joint!!

Then they’ll gloat over the carcass.

I’ve never, ever seen an organisation that tries to destroy itself from within, but this is a classic example!!

All this beat up at the moment is because we're playing god damn games with the media and keep everyone guessing.

Sitting on our hands and saying nothing is just perpetuating the rumors and compounding the problems. Its actually fairly easy to just shut it all down yet this is now extending onto the field and the wishy washy rumor mill continues. The players rock up for training today and the only questions asked is about **** that happened a month ago. You think this doesn't have an effect?

Lyall, call a ****ing press conference. Right now, just ****ing say what happened, what you've done about it , why it wont happen again and move on back to playing football for ****s sake.

STOP letting the players front up to the press day after ****ing day. The media want blood and you're letting them have it.

Doing and saying nothing is making it all worse. For **** sake just do something.

I am not blaming the players when I write this, but isn't it a coincidence that Sunday night with Marty Johns, 360 and I think Big League wrap all commented the supporting players should have been vocal in backing Barrett's decision not keeping quiet.
Manly back office need to be more proactive not reactive in their dealings.

they are all one in the same FOX (NRL mouthpieces)

Manly need to help the players by instructing them to give an objective 'I am here to talk about my input to the team and everything else is better asked of management'

Turbo handled the coaching questions well, but where is the Media Manager to put a stop to them 😎
Probably on his next story so that some on here can read it and then put the boot in even more. Sarcasm intended🙂 Ah go manly:banghead::h::swear::devil:😱🙁😀:heartbreak::tmi: we are in a land of confusion.

I love Tooves, my favourite Manly player and that won’t change.

However i don’t get his reasoning here or what he is trying to say. Hastings got dropped to NSW cup so we still have to pay him. Had we ripped up his contract based on what happened then i would understand. How do you have an agenda to relieve salary cap pressure by keeping someone on the books and in NSW cup?

I might be missing something but didn’t make sense (not that much has of late)?

I’m sure I read somewhere our media manager parted ways with the club just recently. May explain why things are a bit disorganised at the moment. Worse still the leaky dinosaur may be back in the seat

I'd imagine Cuzzo would be stepping up and covering everything in the interim. I don't think the leak you mentioned would be anywhere near that seat, mate.

As a financial $upporter of the club I want to see players play from the heart .
I am not interested in some soap opera interview heart talk .
Heart talk from players means nothings after last weeks embarrassing thrashing from the winless eels .

Uate has butterfingers , can be rocks and diamonds. Last week he was one of the best on field, but one thing he does is play with heart. That wasn't just a soap opera interview, Uate wouldn't even have that in him. Just spoke how he was feeling. Guy has been bagged but he doesn't put his head down, he still tries hard.

Good on Uate for having ago at the dead sh*t reporters. All they do is make crap up to sell a story, yeah some truth to what they put out there but a lot is twisted and made up, they never know the whole story and continually bring the club down.

Players want to move on from it, us fans do as well.

His comments weren't just aimed at the media, he mentioned social media several times .... and even said that players had feelings ....

I think he also means the hysterical fans on facebook and forums fanning the flames with an equal amount of crap ....

And I echo your comments .... good on Uate for having a go at dead sh*t fans ....

Exactly, Uate has said that reading all the negative press in the paper is hard to explain to family and friends that it’s not all true. The moment players start speaking it gets pulled apart and twisted to suit an agenda. AFB and Parker both said they would welcome Hastings back (support) Tom has said he supports Trent’s decision (seemingly unsupportive). Out of the 2 Tom responded appropriately to the question. Put it back to the coach making the call, that way the media get one answer and they can ask Trent about the decision to drop him. The reason he said “that’s a hard one to answer” is it undermines the coach if he says he would welcome him back (probably wouldn’t care if he is in the team or not) which shows respect for the coach and his decision and puts a united front out to the media.

Direct any questions regarding Hastings being dropped, welcoming him back, poor form linked to Hastings being dropped, to Baz and upper management. That way instead of trying to contain spot fires all over the place you have only one that can be controlled.
He could have said " look mate id take him back but i also respect Trents decision " All in all i want to start winning for the silvertails forum , because gee wiz those ****ers are relentless" .

Uate's defence and ball control has been atrocious consistently throughout out the year . The game that I saw last week was a heartless effort from our team and the result was there for all to see as we got humiliated by being the only team in the NRL to get thrashed by the winless eels .
We all have different views and expectations and thank you for sharing yours .

For mine, Uate was a bit:
LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!!!!!!!!!
