Ok Harper - last chance

It's interesting because I feel like Suli was making the exact same mistakes at that right centre position. i.e. sometimes aggressive, sometimes passive, always confused... I wonder if DCE or someone inside is creating confusion for the person playing centre.

That being said, if there is a person on the inside creating defensive confusion, they certainly are not making Morgan drop the ball 5 times a game.
Not defending well in the middle drags Oka in which is why Cherry comes up to try and cut them off

If Harper retains his spot, and one of Bullemor, Keppie, Marty, Davey or Paseka is dropped to retain two utilities on the bench with Aloiai coming in, I'd heavily have to question Des Hasler here.

In 3 hours or so we'll know.....

No more knee falcons? You're just in love with his greek looking flowing locks mate (reminder of the fish n chips shop around the corner 😉) hehe.

Yeah .. and I remember the same chorus sung by the masses to piss Garrick off ..

Mark my words all ye of little faith. .. Harper has a real dig, has talent and is tough .. he is a keeper.

Of course he is still going to pick him unless he is injured. We all know this already. To be honest he ( Harper ) certainly did not have his best game on Sunday. I personally think he is a good moneyball player. The up and coming youngsters will get there chance for sure this year. Especially with Covid etc. teams will be using a lot of their full roster to get by this year. If players come in and really impress they should not be losing their spots when incumbent players are able to return. Unless you are covering for Tom or DCE etc.

I agree, but his confidence is way down, and it's costing us games (in my view). NSW Cup is designed to develop players and address weaknesses, confidence & structures. Most other coaches will give a player a stint in reserve grade to regain confidence (I mean, look at Ricky with his captain of all things in Croker).

He's out of his element at the moment. His ability WAS there at the early stages last season. Let's use the tools at our disposal to play him back into form, rather than thrusting him under the bunsen burner in first grade, and potentially ruin any of the little confidence he has left.

That's my take anyways mate - but don't disagree with his ability when he first got here.

That’s very true woodsie, for ffs you are making sense 🤷‍♂️. Garrick was way down on confidence and many on here including me wanted him gone. Now look at him a very solid winger and gun goal kicker.

Depth player at best.. massively overachieved for a couple of months last year, as opposition teams underestimated him. Similar to a few performances Brendon Elliott put in for us in 2019. Way too small and slow for 1st grade

I had big wraps on him when he debuted and had a blinder against his old club. He had some amazing games, so elusive and was safe as houses defensively. Ever since he got rolled in the finals he is a different player. with all that said, he won't be dropped we know that so let's hope he finds some form and fast.

It's not totally out of the realms of possibility that Koula could be a late inclusion at Harper's expense, much in the same way Okunbor and Averillo dropped out of the Dogs side last week.

If DCE can channel the confidence of kicking Manly to victory on Sunday night into his all round game on Saturday night, that could be good news for his outside men on that side of the field.

As others have intimated, Delta Coodrem-Evans could be the key to unlocking Harper’s game for the better.
