Des loved hoppa in the early days though....I think it’s John Hopoate.

Yep ,if we doing this .Lets do it properly .Everyone currently employed GTFO.Happy for it. It was completely unviable.
Des drove me nuts with his lack of everything from structures to game plans to sheer bloody passion.
Now, Mr Penn ... a word please?
Time to really give the club a clean slate and **** right off.
No they don't put that on the website.Just tried to find it - who is on our board?
Messier!!!
Has Seibold actually said yes yet ... ??
Good lord you really see what people are like times likes this happen.
Does that mean he HAS said yes?I am not now, nor have I ever been, a member of the Seibold fan club ...
However, he IS now our coach and I will give him my support ... Go Manly
No ,he is in our board.I think it’s John Hopoate.
Not an unexpected turn of events, let's hope we can now move forward with a change of coaching style and a cohesive committed team, the past is now the past, we as fans have to fall in behind Siebold and support his efforts to lift us from the bottom half of the competition and back to a place of prominence, we have to at least give him a fair opportunity to do soDes Hasler officially sacked as Manly Sea Eagles coach following board meeting
The turmoil at the Manly Sea Eagles has finally been dealt with as coach Des Hasler’s reign at the club has come to a bitter end.
Manly have made the decision to sack coach Des Hasler.
His manager, George Mimis, has been informed of the Sea Eagles’ decision after the board met on Thursday morning where they decided to part ways with the club legend. Lawyers are drawing up the termination paperwork today, after which, Anthony Seibold will be installed as Manly’s next coach.
Hasler agreed to a raft of measures placed on him by Sea Eagles hierarchy in a bid to see our the final year of his contract but that won’t happen.
It is expected Hasler will pursue legal action against his former club.
He leaves Manly with the second most coached games in the club’s history and a two time premiership winner.
Hasler had on Wednesday indicated his willingness to stick around and coach in 2023 and was willing to work alongside Seibold.
It came just a day after explosive emails obtained by The Daily Telegraph indicated his own football department signed off on the rainbow jersey months before the controversy tore apart the NRL team.
The Sea Eagles’ roster remains largely unchanged for 2023 so far, with only Wests Tigers back-rower Kelma Tuilagi joining the club.
Kieran Foran (Gold Coast), Dylan Walker (New Zealand), Martin Taupau (unsigned) and Andrew Davey (Canterbury have departed the club.
The club has high hopes on junior talent coming through, headlined by Bob Fulton’s grandson Zac Fulton, Jamie Humphreys, Gordon Chan Kum Tong and Jacob Sykes.
Change was definitely needed. But I think you’ll find it’s the way it been done that has pissed everyone off. It’s so weird everyone has slowly turned back on Des’ side over the past month/few weeks. All the comments I see are pro Hasler. Stuff that. He is cooked. His selections, stubbornness, unwillingness to bring up juniors, short sighted decisions, all of it was crap. Flash in the pan 21 season thanks to Tom, horrible 22. Good riddance. Club legend? Sure. But honestly, this is a positive. It could have been handled better but Mestrov is doing exactly what he said he would and Penn opened his wallet as well. Things are happening. Change is good. I’m thrilled to be honest.
I'm struggling to stay interested. PLEASE say something mate to keep me plugged in - PLEASE
Did he happen to get any "friends" to sign also?Seibold signed a couple of weeks back.
Agreed mate, personally I’ll be giving him 2yrs to see positive changes. As long as we don’t get the spoon….I am not now, nor have I ever been, a member of the Seibold fan club ...
However, he IS now our coach and I will give him my support ... Go Manly
I don’t! For months you have been blaming the non active new CEO for not making comment on the pride jersey stuff up! He wasn’t even the CEO. The CEO was ridiculed marketing department was ridiculed Des public ally criticises management at the presser and all along des’s department knew. You were supporting Des - Des should have been criticised rather it was management…..The management team have been wrongfully ridiculed ! We all owe the sea eagles staff and management a massive apology! Imagined been criticised for something that was not your fault!I wanted change, but the way Penn treated Des is unacceptable to me.
Agreed Woodsie... with Des it would have been very much the predictable same same...Mate ... I'm excited ... next year is an unknown ... mysterious and threatening ... but now with a hint of the unexpected ...
Bring on 2023 and all the drama that goes with it ... can't wait ...
Not much friends north of here !Did he happen to get any "friends" to sign also?
