Haha you guys are funny. Don't you agree the NRL endorsed the Uluru statement ...years ago?!!
I guess you didn't notice or you might have tried to expose this outrage way back then!

Why did they ... who even knew ... were they asked to endorse it .... or did they just suddenly hold a press conference and announce they are branching out into political commentary from now on ...

Who knows? It's a mystery. It's outrageous! Obviously anyone supporting yes must have some hidden agenda and we must fight tooth and nail to stop them!

The level of success of Major sporting organisations is completely in the hands of Government.

From grass root parental financial support for fees, to ground allocation and upkeep, to major facility construction, to betting agency advertising laws and tax rates .. even bidding for major events like SOO or Grandfinals, etc

To exert pressure ... Government doesn't need to do much ... just a junior minister interviewed saying he will be "discussing a review" of the advertising laws for Gambling agencies ... and every sporting CEO in the country would need therapy ... let alone upgrades to Brookie, Leichhardt etc

ask yourself ... if opinion is split 50/50 in the community ... what are the mathematical odds that 100% of sporting bodies that have commented on the voice support it .... astronomical is the answer.

The odds that you would get 20 sporting bodies supporting the Voice without 1 sporting body opposing is about one chance in one million and forty eight thousand five hundred and seventy six .. 1/1,048,576

Not only has not one sporting body come out against supporting Albo ... NOT ONE has even had the courage to publicly say that they don't feel it's their place to advice people on political matters ... Why not?
Sigh I should know better but here goes

As yet they came out against the Morrison government in 2017? You could argue that there were labor leaders at a state level however you just had it happen in Vic, NSW was a lib strong hold and I think it was Tassie and maybe one more where still libs.

So we are clear your argument is that sporting organisations are worried about potential funding etc and,as a result, are ignoring a segment of the population?

So even though the NRL supported the NRL statement in 2017 and the plans to release the rebuild for the new SFS were only released in 2018 so would have, by your logic, been impacted?

Lol " supporting Albo"
It's not Albo it's a referendum question.
Albo just happens to be on the YES side.

Sporting organisations and the corporate world have now taken the role that church ministers once took in western society. i.e. To herd the lost sheep into their ideal sense of contemporary moral normality.
Personally I am not sure which one is worse. You could argue rife hypocrisy on both sides. This thread is more about ideology than footy. Footy just being the back drop in this case.

Get over it @Woodsie it's just a coincidence

Wrong thread, wrong forum. This has zero to do with the NRL or the Voice referendum and shouldn't be in the rugby league forum. It's just about some WA state law, meaning it can be changed in the blink of an eye by the next state govt if they wanted to.

Also, as always for a news limited article, it is worth reading the actual act

As an example found here What approval is needed for activities on Aboriginal cultural heritage sites

People undertaking like-for-like activities – such as farmers working on established paddocks in a way they have been previously, are exempt.

So they are asking people who are going to do something new to check

Also it reads here How to apply for activities on Aboriginal cultural heritage sites

That in most cases there is no need for a LACHs (the person at 160 an hour) listed to come out if there is a known area etc

Also lets get on board and vote yes...
