You can if you aren't part of a TPA agreement. You can if you are a player sponsor or ground sponsor
Ah sorry, as you were posting inside the link I thought it was for a TPA.

But quite correct as a sponsor of the club yes you could do that!!

The article is a farce. Sure publish the figures. Doesn't prove a thing when the rorting is continuing. Very hard to publish what's in the brown paper bags or in the golden envelopes. Unless you get CSI Miami looking into it, the rorting will continue.

Yes the “ smart clubs” will still be smart and hide most stuff away.

The only true way ( and even that’s nit 100%) would be to view each players tax returns!!

And that’s highly unlikely to happen as it’s an invasion of privacy.

Meanwhile it’s “ Rort On” all you like.

Scam Smith isn't just on a TPA with VB. What about him and Cronk on Foxsports. Just a farce.

Let's see .... I believe the membership numbers for the Silvertails is approx. 2000 members .. if each member contributed $1000 dollars and @Dan took that $2mil to the Sa Eagles as a TPA for several players to act as "ambassadors" and contributors to the Silvertail forum ... I believe that would be a valid commercial arrangement .....

Before some of you choke on your corn flakes ..... some of the independently wealthy amongst us like @Ryan and @globaleagle will be more than happy to cover any short-fall from poor buggers like me (and you) .....
I'm In.My modelling career is kicking along nicely.

What about if a co owner owned a Casino and a player just "happened" to win big in that casino one night.... Not a TPA, never be traced.
The system is screwed
Then they would be violating the casino control act which is a jail time offense. No one likes nrl that much. They’re also a publicly traded company with shareholders so they’d be committing fraud

What if the player is given a free trip to casino, NSW?

More smoke and mirrors from the NRL. Such an insult to anyone that watched the game. The depths they go to hide their own dirt Is beyond a joke. These power tripping scum will continue to stroke their own egos while pulling the strings to their script. The game doesn't need any fans to be baited as they are

What’s with the claim that some clubs are able to attract more third party sponsorship than others. The club has nothing to do with it. Inglis organised his own 800000 third party deal so he could play with the Broncos and when he changed his mind he organised another deal in Sydney so he could play with the Bunnies. Cronk organised his own million dollar deal with Foxtel and its clear as day it has nothing to do with him playing for the Roosters. Fafita wrote that contract with the Dogs himself after organising his own third party deal. These journos have go no idea.

I’d like to know if Maloney just happens to have organised an identical third party deal, with the same company, to that negotiated by Moylan.

The fact that they felt the need to mention 'The Roosters are mid-table' is hilarious really and just highlights how protected they are. I remember looking at their bench and injured players when they smashed us at Brookie this year and shaking my head.

People launder money there. Please, just cash in my chips son and carry on.
People sure but it just wouldn’t be the owner of the casino. That license is worth billions of dollars. Unbelievably stupid to risk that because you want to give an nrl player some cash

If they are getting cash payments or expensive gifts, they are not going to declare it to The ATO.
