Northern Super Stadium

Just having a play about.

I have mentioned before about UK councils using compulsory purchase to relocate stadiums close to their team's spiritual homes. They will locate an industrial area and use powers to procure land and redevelop.

The current Brookvale oval site is too small to realistically redevelop fully. I have mocked up a bastardized version of Aami park and Homebush stadium and placed it at the edge of the industrial estate.

So my main thoughts are that its not located directly next to housing. Industry one side and parkland the other.
Close to We3stfeild for parking and Bus routes on Pitwarter road.

I know realistically it will never happen but how good would that be?

Main tenants could be the Seaeagles and perhaps an A league team. Obviously other games and sports as well if required.

It's food for thought (the ground, not the laid bit, although...) I don't live in Brookie and haven't spent 40+ years going to the fortress so I dunno just how much love for the old girl there really is (lots by some) but having a council ground and a council that kinda hates it just seems to bring problem after problem.

Do the same thing at Rat Park and you're onto something.

The rugby was on there on the weekend and the parking was handled easily without even opening up the fields at the back. If they widened the road that runs between Rat Park and the driving range so there were a couple of wider points of entry to the back field they'd have everything they needed except the whizz bang stadium...

It was a fair new stadium on show out at Spoonsville on the weekend there must be something super impressive coming to the trophy run th over flag winning Northern subs in the very near future ??

That stadium looks awesome. A rectangular pitch within a round stadium. Clever architecture.

Currently we have the lowest club membership in the NRL with about 11, 000 club members
Us Manly fans have the power and that is people power but we are not getting off our arse to use it by becoming club members and standing up and be counted

How about us Manly fans making a Super effort to become club members and Justify a Super Stadium
Currently we have the lowest club membership in the NRL with about 11, 000 club members
Us Manly fans have the power and that is people power but we are not getting off our arse to use it by becoming club members and standing up and be counted
