Non-Manly Games [Round 5, 2019]

Everyone in the Nein box tonight seems to have forgotten that Michael Chee-Kam is a former centre. Not only was he a centre in the juniors with Manly, but his first 7 run on starts in the NRL (all for the Tigpies) were as a centre. He didn't start in the back row until his 28th first grade game and tonight is only his 59th game overall.

If I played for Brisbane I would always lay in the ruck, rake at the ball and come up offside early - they never get penalised for any of it. There’s a few favoured teams in this competition that’s for sure.

I was almost (just almost) hoping Brisbane would win that. Now we're going to cop another week of "what's wrong with the Broncos".....like they don't get enough media coverage already.

On the other hand its great to see them losing so that overrides it lol

The only way that win by the tigers could be any better was if it was Manly. Man we were dancing and fist pumping!.....and the crowd shots of the two-headed supporters was priceless.

I said it last week but Darius is less mobile than Hodko, and is starting fullback for the best resourced team in the competition. Chee Kam (!) puts a step on him 20 metres out and he just falls over. Match winning play right there.

Siebold needs to do more but he also inherited an average spine who are on much bigger contracts than they are worth. On a hiding to nothing really.

Yep. Boyd needs to retire... but as long as the Broncos are dumb enough to keep playing him I'm happy.

Lol can someone explain why Milford didn’t try and take Michael Chee-Kam as soon as he got the ball? Great run by MCK but it looked like Milford was within reach the whole time and only decided to grab his jersey once MCK got to the try line.

Curious marketing ploy by the NRL. They make the Broncos the banner team. Put them free to air every week to a huge audience who get to watch them loose again and again. How is this supposed to raise the profile of our game.
