Going to be a very tough two months and could easily be 0/7 or at best 1/8, and if so another season probably fighting not to be spooners.
Our lack of depth in key areas, injuries and inexperience is going to be a major issue again. I just want to see an improved attitude and fighting spirit. I know Des mentioned he is in it to win games, but i feel that its still a rebuild.

Going for cowboys due to a severe allergy to broncos. Think I tipped broncos but....do not like!.

Fox just saying Thurston anointed Morgan as Qld no.7 in 2019 in Courier Mail today. There's some motivation for ya Chezza.

So Thurston, the one who behind the scenes pushed to have his club team mate Morgan replace DCE in the Qld side years ago is now pushing to have Morgan replace DCE in the Qld side.

Surprise surprise.....

Thanks HV8, I just had Daly all fired up for a big game against the Roosters. But that's ok, I'll try again next week?@:D

Can we go after this Dunn kid. I’d love him and Jake in our middle!

Flegler and Staggs might be lured with a starting spot next season too.

Staggs would be my pick. But of course the Thoroughbreds will knock that on the head.

Jesus but the Purple Scum are good at controlling the ruck speed. If you watch them, they hold a player up until juuuuuust before the “held” call, locking him up with a minimum of two tacklers and ensuring he can’t offload, then a third player topples them all.. effectively they ground the man after the held call, have gained time enough to get back onside, then gain a few more seconds by dropping him late with two players on top. They have plenty of time to get the markers set, the line set and the third man in back to the line, and they do it with ease because they time their actions so well.

It’s not cheating, but it’s a damn clever use of the ruck rules and understanding of exactly how they are policed..

To combat the barely legal storm ruck masterclass I wonder how the NRL powers that be if a side would like it if a team went rogue a bit like in Rugby a few years ago when the Italians used a loophole in the offside rules against England. It was a bit of a farce but very clever thinking.
My point being that if the storms game is built around dominating the wrestle remove it. Say the game plan was to make contact meters but then immediately drop to the knees, accept the tackle and attempt a quick play the ball. Forget the wrestle and fight which allows the storm to get back and set and speed it all up. You would have to believe a fair few penalties would be blown against the defenders for preventing the quick play the ball.

That was how the Ipswich Jets won the QRL recently under the coaching of the Walker brothers, effectively ignoring the current strategy of slowing the ruck and throwing teams off their game.... @Mark from Brisbane will know more about this!!

Yes, they did things in a very innovative way and given a chance they’d do it in the NRL as well.
