Nine are advertising on the news there maybe a loop hole that will get GS off!

The loophole reported is that Glenn was wrongly sinbinned.

The ref said that he threw a punch in the initial brawl but he never did

I still don't understand what geese have to do with it?

Its most certainly the right thing to do.

All this sentiment about we must move on, and cop things on the chin when we hold convictions that they were incorrect is exactly what we as a club must not do.

Long term, we set ourselves up for more of the same if we dont at the very least provide a rebuttle. Fight it tooth & nail if those convictions are strong enough.

Actually it is lol

youse
[yooz; unstressed yuh z, yiz]

- pronoun Nonstandard .
1.
you (usually used in addressing two or more people).

Of course ever avenue should be explored to fight any charges. Glenn should never have been sent off. It's a common law right to challenge any law/rule. I'd hope that the club would never cop any crap from the NRL. I for one thought the club gave away far to much over the 09 launch. Go for it now. And Susan, pleese, any club can do what it likes in this situation. Who cares what the Storm do. They're cheating scum who should have been rubbed out of the comp a long time ago. There's never any reason to lie down and take it. Stand up and fight for your rights. Manly should never take a backward step. Even geese have rights.

Even if by some unlikely miracle Glen happens to get off, we will get rubbed straight out the backdoor of this finals series by a series of refereeing decisions.

Defeatist thoughts can become cancerous and bear no resemblence to this club or our players & coaching representatives.

...or the majority of Manly supporters for that matter.
The team will still be solid and most importantly, competitive. Don't slit your wrist just yet, Ralphie.

Dont mind your differing opinion Susan. But your persistent attack on Gifty is getting boring. And to suggest that we are a club in crisis- what a joke!
He got sent to the bin 4 no reason, sticking up 4 a rookie teammate. And the club should do anything on their power to get Gift off the charge, or a downgrade. I for one don't care how they do it, loophole or not.
If it's unsuccessful so be it, weve lost nothing. He might get an extra week, so what. Just get behind Gifty and the club, instead of all the negative ****!

He will not get off. This is not the High Ct.To think a technicality will prevail is ridiculous given the publicity on this.He will be suspended for a lengthy stretch(too much IMO),this will further inflame the issue, keep the debate raging, distract our club from football as was shown today with the mish mash of unprofessional interviews and serve no purpose.

By all means plead not guilty on the facts(we must do so) but dont try some smart arse manouver that will probably inflame them to a higher penalty.

This whole thing should be subsiding by now.Surely last year we learnt some lessons about how quickly things can go astray. We look like a club in crisis and I hope we dont play like one.
That's the spirit Susan, we should not get distracted by positive thinking. Now everyone just accept that our season is screwed and stop embarrassing us further. Sheesh, if we keep this up other teams won't like us.

With some of the things raised in this thread. You can't plead guilty to a charge that has been referred straight to the judiciary as there is no penalty given. Blair has pleaded guilty to the striking charge. Likewise you can't go in attempting to have it downgraded because there has been charge to downgrade.

Whilst he was wrongly sinbinned it won't be enough to get him off scott free, but hopefully its enough to lessen his penalty. Fingers crossed for no more than 2 weeks.

The fact is Gift was trying to stop Blair from punching Lussick to a pulp. They got into a bear hug struggle and had to be pulled apart. That moron Badger then tells Hayne that Gift was the third man in throwing punches and inflamming the situation. He was not throwing punches and he didnt run in to cause more mayhem he was trying to stop it. He should never have been binned therefore he shouldn't have been placed in that position.
Then watch the footage as they are going off. Gift was walking off slowly because he was pissed for being binned in the first place. Then that gorilla Blair comes running after him starts mouthing off and then grabs him by the jersey ready to fight. Blair was at fault with all of this. If he hadn't of thrown punches into Lussick then the 1st melee would have settled down and no one would have gone to the bin at all. Glen should only be found guilty of striking in a provoked situation 2 weeks sufficient. Of course there is no way that truth or common sense will prevail here as it never does when it concerns Manly players and media hysteria.

This is an exact correct account of what did happen and what will happen!
