Moving forward improvements needed

In D, we have the fastest backline in the comp so there is zero reason for them to shoot out of the line on the edges but instead we should compress our defence to tighten our middle and leave our edges open because if opposition teams want to try to go around us they will be chased down anytime we are outside our 30m. Opposition have the sideline to contend with and are low % play. The other thing is getting 3 players into tackles instead of 1-2 we are the worst for this.
Good points
We are super fast out wide, so compression in D makes sense....I feel our bad attribute is often players off different pages with decision making
Watching the Penrith Vs Storm game there was no panic....more patience and confidence in the bloke next to you
We are improving in this aspect, but a tad off the big dogs
It's possible to keep winning and confidence gained is huge in this aspect, we are still on a roll and chasing which gives hope

Our right side is where we leak most points and teams are driving all the traffic down Garricks and Saabs side.
Change is required.
I was under the same impression so I thought I'd look it up to see just how leaky our right side is. Surprisingly our left has conceded 34 tries (45%) and our right only 29 (38%), while 13 (17%) have been scored in the middle. This is especially surprising because most teams naturally favour attacking against right edge defences.

I think the narrative that Garrick can't defend has created a confirmation bias that makes the tries conceded there tend to stick in the memory more. The numbers say it's just not true.

Garrick needs to sort out his D, it really is terrible. It’s not always about his missing, he puts pressure on inside and outside of him by seemingly having NFI most of the time
Wahs only scored once on our right side and that was miss by Haumole, nothing to do with Garrick (or DCE).

Meanwhile - comparisons are imperfect because teams don't play the same opposition, thanks to the 'draw', but nevertheless I thought this was interesting. Storm's for and against is not that different to Manly's. However they are masters at closing out tight games, whereas Manly failed to win several of those earlier this year.
I think Manly's defence has improved over the season though.

I think this a simplistic stat based conclusion that doesn’t really hold water, significant inroads are continually made down garricks side, wether they score there or then swung it to the middle or the other side as a result of those inroads is what really sticks with me. Those stats tell us about where Tries are scored, not the overall impact on the game. And the impact on the game that our right hand defense and in particular garrick is something that needs addressing.

Missed tackles/bad reads and positioning cause gaps elsewhere, quick play the balls, six agains and fatigue and momentum to the opponent.

Reuben brings a lot to the table, he needs a lot of work in defense

Just seems all line breaks anywhere on the field it’s always down our right side and not just tried conceded.

I have to say watching Garrick grabbing at Pompeys jumper didn't inspire me with confidence, he's been playing right centre for basically the entire season and to me at least there doesn't seem to be much improvement, surely Seibold sees what we see, Garrick needs to be schooled in what's needed and quickly otherwise we'll exit the semis in game one
