Des has always seemingly loved to keep a foward fresh on the bench, with limited game time.
Seems like a consistent plan, from my memory anyway.

Jamie Bruher springs to mind.

I get the feeling he is keeping Trexs bench spot warm

I think you are right . Des and T rex are inseparable buddies . They always end up together .

The big difference though is that Jamie added a lot of spark to the side when he did get on the field.

Ill reserve my judgement on Boyle until mid next year. He needs a pre season under Donny. I still believe he has alot of upside and could be a quality player for us. I remember watching him come through titans and thinking he was a beast. Hopefully he can reach his potential and not be another Perrett type signing.

Surely if you know you only have to play for 10 minutes you can be a "beast".
It's like a batsman who knows he only has a few overs to make his mark.

Thats why he needs a pre season under Donny. Get his fitness and strength to a better level. Its hard coming to a new team and new environment mid season after an injury and expected to be at your best. From all reports he didn't have a pre season. Yes he needd to be better but i think he deserves a bit more of a chance before we write him off... Remember everyone except a few writing parker off last year.
