Guess that would indicate if the report is accurate that even if Walker is retained , he will stay or the preference for him in his role as a specialist type 14 . Koula and Tippy toes maybe not quite ready to transition to centres [ at least in the early stages and in general , some type of a reasonable replacement for Suli . then the open question whether Harper and Parker can deliver sufficiently next season . Probably would not come that cheap , seems a very steady type player with some reasonable ability , premiership winner . Seems to be some reasonable rationale in at least considering him as a worthwhile pick up

The pendulum has swung back for us and I expect we are again seen as an attractive opportunity to quality players due to our current personal and coach. So it doesn't surprise me that we are linked to good players. Momirovski is a experienced player, sure he's no Greg Inglis but those are few and far between and very expensive. We already have our very expensive sports cars parked in the garage. I see him as a sensible addition tot he squad. He is only 25 is in good health. In addition he is an good goal kicker. So I don't see the down side.

4 clubs in 4 years,only 38 First Grade games and Penrith are yet to re-sign him despite losing Burton and Naden.That tells me that the Panthers don’t rate him that highly or he’s asking too much.Manly don’t need another solid,workmen like centre and not sure what value his goal kicking is given Garrick does a very good job and Momiroski wouldn’t be coming to play reserve grade

Wonder if Manly are looking at him as a possible back up to Turbo ., Know that he has been mainly regarded as a capable outside back but maybe the type of player who could adapt well to another position , albeit to the more specialist full back role

Here's a left-field thought: If DESpicable is the Messiah of Coaches as many think why not take a punt on the the rocks-and-diamond player, Joey Leliua? He'd be cheap, and could turn out to be a game-breaker.
I've seen this guy rip teams apart although he is more inclined to make dumb decisions that cost his team a win.
If Brandon Smith is the Block of Cheese this bloke is the Chocolate Box because you never know what you are going to get.
Recruit him for one season, start him in reserve grade and see if DESpicable can control his performances. For me, Leliua is a hotter/colder version of Suli and would be worth a try as a cheap back-up for our centres.

Agree with this. He played the GF for Penrith, kept Naden out and Crichton on the wing. I like him and defensively he is tight. Upgrade on what we have now.

If he's not asking to much, have no prob with this signing, if not, we have others and also good jnrs coming through as well who are ready to take their shot.

What's the status on Leliua now, is he still signed on with W/Tigers, or have they cut him loose.

I just read that he’s still under contract at Penrith for next year and Bryan Fletcher their CEO says they want him long term so it’s obvious that Momirovski is just chasing more money so if he moves,someone will be paying overs.In the story it says two other clubs are interested so given Manly’s current depth in that position with a few young players potentially capable of filling in there,I’d suggest Manly were thrown into the mix by the journo and his manager

Your opinions are interesting and I respect them. Mine is that Momirovski isn't as good as Harper or Parker. Also I see Leliua as a Suli type of player, just with less discipline than Suli, so on balance no thanks.

My hunch is that Manly were thrown into the mix because they just let one centre go,Suli,and are yet to re-sign Walker.

Yeah I’ve spoken to a couple of his coaches about him and they speak glowingly about his professionalism and work ethic. He’s not flashy but he is rock solid and does all the 1%s well.

Harper the guy who had multiple baths v Olam

He wasn't Robinson Crusoe. Olam is close to being the best centre in the game. He was the only centre that got the better of Harper for the whole season.
Remember when Inglis owned Lyon. Lyon quit SOO due to it and got better.

It's his first year of first grade. He will get better.
