Yep, and moved to manly to play for the marlins. He was tailor made for a switch to league, but manly had a strong back row in the 90s and he opted for Canberra. I got this from a mate who played for the rats. An impeccable sauce.

I loved BK. I distinctly remember the day he announced his retirement - I was devasted. Wish he would get back involved with Manly.

Chee Kam is more of a guy who will operate on the edge of the ruck if he plays in the forwards. Wouldn't suprise me at all for him to spend a lot of time at center though.

If you're talking about a backline of Watmough, Chee Kam & Stewart then you're lacking a bit of starch that a Rodney/Harrison-esque player would bring to the table & it's also a waste of Choc's abilities as you'd be relying on him to fill said role.

It's all theory though, I think that Chee Kam has another couple of years of lower grade football to go before he goes NRL full-time & our forward pack is going to look very different at that stage.

Hard to tell, probably a hurrel type, his stats in toyota cup are sensational, a big off season and could be a benchy

The problem for Chee Kam, is that Lyon probably has at least another 4-5 years in him, and Manly would do well to give that man WHATEVER he wants, and Matai just re-upped his contract, so the kid just aint going to be a regular centre for at least another 3-4 years for us.

Manly would be crazy to split up the best centre combination in the world (maybe ever).

Therefore, unless we expect him to be a Danny Moore / Pat Richards type of winger, he'll be in the forwards....don't think his pace is worthy of fullback.

As the 18th man? I hope not. I hope the kid gets game time, or at least time in a team that can win, like the QLD cup. I worry about our players coming through the past two years in NSW Cup and NYC.

Ok, I admit there are some decent players transitioning through, but not many have transitioned as a "rookie" since DCE and Foran, but for DCE and Lussick, I put that down to success in the QLD Cup.

From what Iv seen he is a back rower plus he is only young and only going to get bigger as well.

I think he would slot in nicely next to choc and gift!

Can always start buhrer and give Chee Kam some minutes off the bench to get experiance, game time and he will make an impact to, I think he has real talent lets get him some experiance and use it!

He has great strength for his size but can do with another 5 - 7kg's to break into the top grade. The great thing about him is that extra speed to poke his head through the defence & has a brilliant offload. He is another future rep backrower imo but its probably unfair to throw huge expectations on at this early stage.
