I am certain he does and he will be a huge huge signing given the poor bench we have in Keppie/Sipley and even Marty at times. This will be massive - he is a grub... he is not the best prop in the game BUT he is a cut above Keppie and Sipley and Paseka as well - well the placid Paseka who cruises. The Paseka who gets off the back fence is damn damaging and high quality... we just only see that Paseka rarely.I’d be surprised if he doesn’t sign with us.
I know who I’d prefer between him and Marty.I am certain he does and he will be a huge huge signing given the poor bench we have in Keppie/Sipley and even Marty at times. well to me - Marty still has it over Keppie and Sipley - they are just bog ordinary. We will need to move Marty on at the end of the year but I would get rid of all of those three. They all offer us not much at all except.... Keppie who offers us horrible errors every week without fail... in attack or defence.I know who I’d prefer between him and Marty.
Yep. Be very surprised if he doesn’t land at Brookvale, mate.So has Manly actually approached him? Does anyone know?
Koula isn't up to NRL fullback. As I have said many times the huge job of an NRL full back is reading and organising a defence being an attacking weapon from the back is very very secondary. A young kid who wasn't a specialist fullback full time coming through really will struggle with the defensive load and responsibilities. He can bring the mongrel in our forwards for the rest of the season. Without Tom we really need our forwards to step up and we have shown we can win without Tom this year. Des just needs to make Koula the fullback for the games Tom is out and let him make it his own position.
We could probably get BJ Leuila for 200 grand as well.. Might as well throw in Milford for 100k and call it a meal deal.Im no advocate of lodge, in fact my mates are Warrior supporters and couldn't wait to see the back of him. But on a low to modest contract, it may well be worth it. He does have a motor on him. But if it's anything more than a few hundred grand. Then no thankyou...
P.S
I also think Curtis Scott could be worth a gamble on minimum type contract. The eels are looking at him.. either way an offer wouldn't go astray to make the eels pay more. We need more depth, if you could manage to get Lodge and Scott together for 400-500k. Your laughing given their experience

The metres he makes are generally pretty large in comparison with some of our forwards (Looking at his stats this year he’d be averaging 130m a game or so).Im no advocate of lodge, in fact my mates are Warrior supporters and couldn't wait to see the back of him. Not a huge fan of Scott but he is a better option than Ron Jeremy that’s for sure.agreed on both!
There's a little difference of quality given in your comparisons. Regarding Scott, Bellamy thought he was good enough to win premierships with. But noted. We need value in the market. From a footy perspective ofcourseWe could probably get BJ Leuila for 200 grand as well.. Might as well throw in Milford for 100k and call it a meal deal.
I appreciate you are just spitballing ideas but as a reminder Bellamy doesn't get rid of players unless they are **** or for salary cap purposes. Scott is the former
I don't want Lodge here either but do agree with you a contract for pocket change might be ok for an NRL team purely from a footy perspective.
Sure was just having a bit of a laugh with those others. There's a little difference of quality given in your comparisons. Regarding Scott, Bellamy thought he was good enough to win premierships with. But noted. We need value in the market. From a footy perspective ofcourse

Clearly he’s had some issues in the past and rightfully he’s been labelled as such, but he hasn’t really done much to attract any trouble and has settled down with a family etc.
He’s about 27 so a good age for a prop. Obviously there are some positives for the right price.
