We’ve yet to see today’s game but you are right , the other sides all showed up , the only one who just capitulated was ours.

If either the Titans or the Roosters played the Storm and played like they did yesterday, they would have been hammered just like us. So I don’t buy that they showed up and we didn’t; it’s more that it was just a better match up ability wise.

We have not beaten a top 4 team this year because we have not been able to step up that extra gear .

Another interesting thing to note is that is the 3rd time in 12 years that Melbourne have beaten Manly 40-12 in a finals series. That score is starting to have some nasty flashbacks.

Having said that, both previous times, that 40-12 loss was the last game we played in each of those seasons, so at least this time we have a chance to redeem ourselves.

This could be like 2013 - lose the first game against the minor premiers, before winning their way back into the GF against the same team. Could definitely happen again - Souths losing to Manly in a prelim final after a week off is also what happened in 2013...

Here is the icing on the cake both the roosters and souths have lost by 50 points whereas manly hasn't. No team that has lost by 50 points in the regular season has won the premiership.

Not feeling it. Storm had been pretty mediocre up until the SF against us. I think we made them look "great" because we simply did not compete. The Roosters pack is probably second to the Storm and they are aggressive mothers. Dry, day games definitely suit our style and unfortunately there are no more of those. The Roosters will fight tooth and nail the whole game. I see a spiteful game, Roosters prepared to sail close to the wind because they know we cannot match them. Unless Tommy T can be a dominate force I am very worried.

The planets are all aligned for us, our pathway to a Premiership is clear. Souths wont be easy but after our demolition of Easts, we're back on a roll again. I can see the Melb Penrith game become a replica of the Penrith Parra game, and this will only benefit us going into the big one. But I don't wont to get ahead of myself, just sayin !!
